Guess What is blooming

Guess what is blooming this week...
Portulaca grandiflora, better known as moss rose.

Our moss rose has 3 tiny blooms that are smaller than a quarter. The plants stay green year round and through our winter. The day the temps hit 80, the blooms started..

Love seeing the flowers this early but 80° in March is kinda scary to me because I can't help looking to the future. ;)

Gorgeous little flower. It doesn't think it is winter.

i shift my waking hours with the light. the dogs, horses and birds/ducks don't move their schedule so i don't either. :)

Do you think we will ever see the end of Daylight Saving?

I have never seen a moss rose that color before...only pink. Beautiful.
I can remember when my boys were babies...the time change didn't seem to apply to them. I use to dread it. Now it is fine with me. I love when it's light later in the evening.
The song you mentioned on my blog is a new one for me. I would love to hear it.
The 3 crosses at our church are a lovely way to enter, especially when things are blossoming.

It's funny - just went to Ginny;s blog she has snow and you have gorgeous flowers.

How did you do that clock - cute.

Jake knows nothing about time.

OH DON'T EVEN GET MOM STARTED ON THIS...DAD IS THE COMPLAINER AND MOM IS THE LISTENER. OUR GRANDFATHER CLOCK DOES NOT DO WELL WITH DST!!! FALL BACK IS NOT AN ISSUE BUT SPRINGING FORWARD BLOWS IT'S LITTLE TICK TOCK MIND AND DAD IS GRUMPY UNTIL IT IS CORRECT. IF WE LEFT IT ONE TIME ALL YEAR THE CHIMES WOULD GO OFF WHEN WE ARE IN BED SO.....ALAS GRUMPY DAD
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF AND GRUMPY'S WIFE

I love your moss. Mom used to have such a wonderful patch of those around and on a big rock. They no longer are there.

I dislike change. I wish they wouldn't mess with my time!

Lovely flower, and funny poem. You know I agree... Although our change is still three weeks away.

This is gorgeous with the sun shining on it! And I don't think I have seen this color before? It looks bigger than you say, so it must be so sweet. So when does it get dark different times of the year for you? Florida must be different than here? We are always so glad when the time changes, because it had been getting dark before five 0'clock! Many people have S.A.D. and stay very depressed till spring, because of no light. Bev has moved here. LOVE your little poem and the clock that surrounds it.

I really like Moss Rose. I'll have to check and see if it will grow here. I have a new bloom in my front yard. I think it's a type of Lilly. I'll post it soon. :)
I wake up when the birds are singing and the sun is rising. This morning the birds were singing and there was no sun. LOL I need longer days up here, so many adjustments.
