Random Shots - Egrets N Bones

Shadows from the dog treat container on my kitchen cabinet. While playing with the shadows I saw something white fly by the living room window..

A very tall, very hungry Egret landed in the ground cover and helped himself to a few lizards.. Above through the screen, below pressed against the screen.

I have to admit I have never had an egret land on MY front lawn! (Can you tell I'm jealous?)

Does Jake know that egret is helping itself to his lizards? I'm sure he wouldn't be too happy about that :)

That is cool but not for the lizards. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly

Well, that would be a surprise visit. I had one in a little garden pond a few years ago. It ate all the tadpoles. :(

MS we had to make a quick trip to see what you are up to over before sis arrives! We love the treat bowl bathed in sun beams and OMCS what a gorgeous egret. I hope one that large never lands on my bird bath

How cool is that>?!! And lucky you to catch a glimpse to know he was out there, and get a couple of shots of him.
My mom has that same ground cover in her front flower bed.that stuff grows like wildfire!

Oh my GOSH!!! You have wonderful, miraculous things! We have seen one once, and from such a distance. I could not get details. The next time he comes, if you could get Bob to catch him, then you can wrap him up and send him to be. Be sure to poke air holes in the box and dump in plenty of bugs! The treat container shadow looks just like the bottom of a pool!

Pretty shadow patterns. Nice shot of the egret. When I spy something like that out the window, it makes me wonder what I miss when I'm not there.

Nice shadows! Those birds always scare me when I'm in Florida.

I love the shadows. How awesome to have the egret come to you instead of you having to go fine it.
