Watching Weather/News or Not

I am addicted to weather watching and I prefer ON LINE watching even though our Local News Nine runs 24/7 on TV.

I hate watching the news or weather on TV...

Instant Access 24/7 on line when I want it not when they tell it.

Week ahead temps (should I prepare to whine about HEAT)

the Day temps by the hour (AC today and when)

Wind Speed (do I get 2 hours of alone time while Bob plays in the park?)

Pollen count (open windows or not)

and the best of all Radar that shows what is coming
(will it rain on my parade today and WHEN, will it be light rain or heavy, lightning?)

And while I am checking the weather each morning. I read a little of the news. I love their site. Just click on our county and READ
This week someone donated a Persian Rug to Goodwill and it is worth 5,000 but might bring more at auction...

I ask you who would NOT WANT TO KNOW THAT?
Do you keep track of the weather? How? News? How?

Hi, Rarely do I watch/listen/read the weather or news. John does and keeps me updated throughout the day. He can actually remember what they predict....if I do listen, I can't remember what they said!

I just take it as it comes, but my husband is more like you. And he gets mad when the forecast is wrong. I tell him he needs to be more like me.

I watch the local news every morning and I have a weather Ap on my phone...

We watch the local news and weather forecast before we go to bed, but on the whole the weather is so changeable in England it's not a priority unless we're planning a special day out and then we hope that most of the day will be dry.

I'm probably not as addicted to the weather as you are (lol) but I do keep track of it. Gotta know if it's worth driving to a hot birding spot or not! :))

I like my weather updates online. 86 degrees with 80% chance of thunderstorms today.

I check the weather on my iPhone, and also watch the news and weather in the evening.

If I want to know the weather - I ask my addicted weather husband and he knows it all! lol

My addicted husband is the same as Chatty Crone's man. My Weather guy morning, noon and night.

Matter of fact. I go in my art room to hide.

i never watch the weather channel. i DO try to tune in to local news each evening, but i tend to let my mind wander and end up missing the forecasts (and sometimes rewind tv to focus on them). i check msn weather all thru the day. and i have intellicast to pull up on my laptop or on my smartphone if a storm is near.

Good morning, my friend! :) I watch the weather like you do. Even keep track of all California's little quakes. I have a temp gage on my patio..and recently saw it whiz up to over 90 degree's and then in a day..drop down to the 70's and 60's. Amazing! Yep..I'm a weather watcher like you are..and *sigh* I do watch the news a bit..but it only serves to drive me nuts and I yell at the TV or computer and startles poor PH. :)
Hugs,
Mona

The weather geeks on two different tv stations here are never on the same page. Often makes one think the are in different cities. It drives me crazy. I just stick my head out the door now to check the weather.

I check weather underground...and sometimes I check several places. If I we are planning on going somewhere, I check their weather, too. And when it is cold/snowy, I check Cumberland Gap, TN a lot of times, and used to have a thing about checking Alaska...can't remember if it was Anchorage or Fairbanks I checked all the time. Just to compare to what weather we are having.

I record the local news till I don't miss it if we are busy...

I don't watch the news but I do check the weather on my phone. My husband actually likes to watch the Weather Channel on TV.

This looks really nice. We always watch the local news and weather on T.V. We eat breakfast (when Phil is not at work) and watch while we eat. I love seeing the local news, events going on, and the weather. Your pictures are GOOD!

I'm a news addict. I still don't understand how people exist in today's world not knowing where or when anything of major import is happening. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and check CNN on my tablet! I keep an eye on the weather but our weather forecasters around here are so bad you can't count on anything they say. One day they say it will rain the next five days, the next day they say it's won't rain for five days, and then the third day they're back to it will rain. I often wonder where they get their information.

I am sure I would rather track your weather than ours but nonetheless, I do check the weekend forecast on my iPhone. The weekend is all I really care about : )

In our house Wade is the big weather and news follower. If I rarely pay attention to either.

Certainly not from the Weather Channel AKA Chicken Little. I can't take the fear mongering. So, I have found a neat little app called radar scope and it shows me where the rain is, and our local news station has the ten day and hourly. That's all I need. Mark has a weather station in the backyard and he and my family like to check it.

I live by my weather app, too! Much better than watching TV.

I never watch weather on TV. I do check it online if there are storms here or in OK where I have family. I watch live streaming so I know if everyone is safe...love that it is available on the computer. Hugs sweet Sandra

Lately I have been avoiding the news on TV..It is very depressing to hear..I usually check out the weather on the internet and follow the radar.. In case we are going out for a walk..

yup! I use my iPhone app and it's quite accurate. I use the metric version but can easily convert to Fahrenheit.

I am a weather watching freak! lol Online that is! I'm usually busy when the news is on tv cooking dinner so I always look at the radars online. I know exactly where we live at on the map and know for sure what type of weather we will get from looking at the radar. Living out like I do I have to keep an eye on the weather because if it rains too much we might get flooded in or flooded out. I try to make sure I'm not flooded in and the kids are flooded out which has never happened but that is because I am a weather freak! lol
