Circus Wagons -Archive Dive from January 2011

                                                Human Canonball truck

My brother said, 'I want a job as a human cannonball.' I said, 'I'll bet you get fired.'  author unknown

At the Ringling Circus Museum (next door to the Ca D Zan mansion) there are 2 buildings. VAST buildings. One contains circus memorabilia, such as costumes, wagons, railcars and posters. The other museum is filled with a minature circus.

Click HERE to see the Circus Museums prior post. I am posting a few of my favorite Circus Pics on Snap-Ping blog.. HERE

Ok, so some of you may be thinking "Madsnapper is a few clowns short of a circus"
so here is the Clown Car..... sorry No Clowns. Just ME!

'Did you hear about the dog who went to a flea circus?'

'No, what happened?'

'He stole the show

Above is Punch and Judy stage. All of these were used to move the Circus by train, and from train into town.

I love these old circus wagons. The decorated details are lovely. Back in the days, it must have been neat to see the circus roll into town. Happy Saturday!

This circus museum will definitely be a place we stop and visit on our southern road trip, which keeps getting delayed😕 but perhaps next spring. I always enjoy the shots you post from your visits there, Sandra. The one liners were fun today as well. Thanks for the smiles, as always.

Interesting old circus wagons. I'm not really a circus person so most of these aren't familiar to me. Have a super weekend!

...and i second tex's comment. however, it would be unfair to say zoos do not have any purpose in the society...oh, well.

Totally awesome. What a fun place to visit. Being a human cannonball is the only thing you can get fired from multiple times and still have a job

I'm not a fan of circuses, but I like your pics. Had to lol at the joke about the human cannonball.
