Joys of Old Age part 2

Old age means......

you can' t remember the title to the movie you watched last night and when your friend says what was it about? UMMMM....

someone ask you for your zip code and you are silent for the 20 seconds it takes to bring your 30 year zip code up  and out of your mouth.

finding your coffee cup in strange places

you can't retrieve info that is" on the tip of your tongue"

you call your grandson by you son's name

you lose your keys, coffee cup, water when you never left the room

and most famous of ALL walk into a room and have no clue why you are there.

and my personal one is I always buy Irons and Curling Irons that Automatically Turn OFF... because
I don't  want the house to burn down with the dogs in it because I did not turn it off.

All of the above is NORMAL and considered Age Related Cognitive Decline

THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL POST....(I do not want to know your preferences or choice or if you are a donkey or an elephant)

Here are My thoughts about the current candidates in US Presidential Race.....
About half of the major contenders in US Presidental Race are over the age of 60
( 5 are over 65 and 2 over 60 and 4 will be 70 by voting time, see above chart)

Overheard in the halls of the White House in 2016, the President has an important meeting

OMG! where did I leave the Nuclear Code Briefcase?

I have an appointment with someone for something at 9 AM, which hall is it in? Good, this is the hall but which door should I open"

The president steps into the room and Stops. Why am I here, what did I come in here for?
Oh, I remember, War Council...

While speaking on the big screen with the Supreme Allied War Council, the words come out,
Sorry, give me a minute, "it's on the tip of my tongue"... you know, this meeting is about that thing that happened with one of those Korea's, you know they might have one of those things that can blow up. Now what is that called?

At the press conference next day, the President introduced the Prime Minster  David Cameron as Vladimir Putin

Thus the Need for the conference with the Supreme Allied War Council...
Now! where did I put that Nuclear Brief Case?

Good morning, I can relate to a lot of these. If not all for me, some are definitely my hubby. He is always losing his eyeglasses or something else. I usually end up with a lot of words stuck on the tip of my tongue and they will not come off, lol.

And losing a Nuclear Code Briefcase is not an option, is it?
Enjoy your day!

Well, fortunately Presidents have aids who tend to be much younger than they are.;))

Oh, my goodness...these all hit me! So, that is why presidents stammer and stutter when trying to answer questions...things are right on the tip of their tongue and the are indeed searching for them. That part is hilarious...or not.

Sorry, I'm still looking at yesterday's post. Enlarged that picture and read the whole Sam page. He's a nice guy, seems he carries the gentleman's genes which are very rare these days.

I can relate to most of these - funny. I am so glad to know it is normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scary stuff indeed when you mix it with politics! :) Personally, the one that happens a lot is walking into another room and forgetting why. However, a Facebook test this morning had my age down to 35-40, so I prefer to stick to that :) (Gullible - me?! Nah, you must be thinking of someone else...)

The zip code thing has happened to me at the gas pumps. But then I've only lived here for nine years!!!

Uh oh, I recognize most of those signs. I guess I shouldn't worry though because by the time I close out this window I will have forgotten all about the fact that I'm old, forgetful and falling apart :)

Regarding movies or T.V programs.

They say if one forgets consider it a plus.

Then both are new movies to us. My hubby especially.

He always says. I never seen that.

I don't argue anymore.

I go to my computer and he watches the t.v series for the 3 time.

Was laughing as I read all you had down.

Oh, yes...the joys of aging. But it's good we can laugh about it sometimes. Politics these days, on the other hand, not so funny normally, but I did get a "charge" out of this mention.

Okay! NOW you are just SCARING me!!! Hahaha!
I have never thought about this before!

I've never been good at remembering things like a book I read or even a movie. That's why I can watch movies over and over again! Of course I always walk into a room and not remember what I went to get.

I relate to all of these. My older sis and I talk on the phone and laugh about how goofy we are! Too funny about the presidential candidates too.
