MADSnapper and the DUH! moment

Pardon Me while I say ONE MORE THING about my New Red Camera....
Our local Wal-Mart has a manager in the camera dept. that is a fount of wisdom on cameras and all their accessories. She sold me my First Red Camera but not the NEW Red Camera.
I went to her for advice on what SD card, she handed me the card you see above and said, fast and has a 5 year warranty. I came home and put it in the camera.
Message said Can't Read Card. In all 3 of my cameras...

I go back to the lady at WM and say," I want to exchange this card, it will not work in either camera". She said "that's odd, I have never found a bad one. do you mind if I try it in my camera?"

See the tiny SD thingy? when I bought it, i said is the little one for phones and tablets? the big for my camera? YES was the answer.

She opened the carefully slit plastic, and pulled out the 2 pieces, and Did This! See below

OH NO! I am so embarrassed I said....I was putting the large one in the camera. She said, see it says Adapter on it... with my face red, I said, well why don't they have instructions to show this? and I still want to know why it did not at least have a picture on the back.  She assumed I have a tablet and a smart phone and would KNOW this. Every one assumes this. The lady at the pharmacy wants to text me, my bank wants to text me, the DOCTOR wants to text me. I HAVE NO TEXT machine... and Now I know what the Adapter is for.... color me blushing.

Good morning, this card and adapter would have stumped me too. I do not have an iphone and I do not even see a slot for a card on my ipad? And since when do you need an adapter for a card in your camera? Enjoy your Monday and the new week ahead!

The world of technology is a scary place. You do far better than me.

I could see where that would be confusing. No need to feel embarrassed.

Question, than isn't too tiny for your camera?

technology is advancing too quickly for us. :)

That would confuse me Sandra. I mean I could not delete my pictures off my camera onto my camera file again.

When I do it. I get and see all those check marks of my old pictures sitting there and I understood once deleted. They are gone.

How many times have I took those check marks out. So I presume they are gone when I have more loaded in.

Nope still there all. Now I know why I don't use my good camera. It aggravates me so much to take out at-least 500 check marks every time. Other say. I don't have that to do.

Thank goodness I don't
have what you had to go through or I would be going to the nutty factory. Never to come out.

This new technology is for the smart people only.

I had one of these for one of my older phones. Otherwise I would have been totally clueless about it :)

We all have our DUH moments. Technology changes so rapidly, it's hard to keep up.

Don't feel a bit bad, I wouldn't have known either. I have both a smart phone and pad that I recently got and I'm still trying to figure then out. They are smarter than I am! lol! I sometimes think I'm too old for these new-fangled things. Huh! I just looked at my phone and I don't see anywhere to put in a disk! I must not be able to see, either.

BTW, the ipad came with the phone and they neglected to tell me there were extra charges going to be on my bill. They said it was free. I should have known there wasn't anything really free in this world of technology.

I think we all do stuff like this...and sometimes I ask a dumb question when I cannot think straight.

The other day after I lost my good lure, we went to a walmart up there...and I got one similar to it. Of course the weather had changed and I didn't get a single hit on the new lure.

I told Roger I should go back to the quys there and tell them I want to return the lure--that it doesn't work....LOL But I could not have kept a straight face! But can you imagine the tales they would tell of 'we had some dumb woman return a lure because it didn't work'....

so much to keep up with! I actually learned about this card back in 2006 when a friend of mine that worked at an At&t store talked me into buying a motorolla razor phone and he threw in one of these cards. that was a great phone, I could drop it and put it back together and it worked. :) lol
