The NOOK..ready for Christmas 2015

This photo for you Linda Chapman

A force with whom I did not want to reckon,
The glass in the NOOK continued to beckon’
Remove the glass
Wash the glass
Dry the glass, Alas.
The wall of mirrors had no gleam,
That wall was next on the list to clean.
With thoughts of the list for naughty or nice,
I quick decided to take the Bloggers Advice.
I climbed on the ladder,
Thinking is would not matter…
OW! OW! Oooeeee OUCH!
I climbed down and fell on the couch.
With a whine and a cry, I thought I might die.
But without the TREE, all I could see in that mirror was ME.
With Aleve and sleep, the next day I arose,
And laying my finger beside my nose
I took Gails Advice….. which was Work five minutes, Rest five minutes
Until the job is done.
I turned on Hallmark Christmas movie and decorated during the commercials only…

The tree is up, the Santa’s are out, that 2nd tree, this year is OUT.

Did you hear me shout????
THE NOOK IS DONE and so am I.

aside from the OW! OW! Oooeeee OUCH! (which I was sorry to hear) I loved this poem I hope you didn't hurt yourself falling on the couch.
Good advice from Gail though and now we'll get all those Christmas nook pictures that I enjoy seeing so much every year.
You are quite the poet. Did you know it? :)

How smart of you (and Gail) to do a little, rest a little, then do a little, rest a little. :) Your nook looks very festive!

You words and pictures delighted all who have seen them.

It is beautiful. Aren't you glad you did a bit at a time?

I do not practice what I preach.

Blessings!

You just reminded me I have not got my Jim Shore nativity set out...I usually have it up as soon as I do the tree or before.

Hope you are no worse for wear...just take it easy for a while...

I love this post Sandra, and your poetry is first class. Love the photos and that warm glow in them. Good advice from Gail, it's how I do things most of the time. Hope that Aleve helped and enjoy the rest of your day :) Such pretty photos!

Very Christmassy! I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself on the ladder. I cracked pecans for two days, stooped over a sheet on the floor and now everything hurts. :(

We took all last week and the weekend to put up our little Christmas tree and village. We were not in any rush and now all the containers are put away until everything has to be taken down. I also decorated our apt entry and the these was thrift store and dollar store items mainly.

Had to smile as I read your poetic preparations. I like the idea of timed work and breaks.
