Envy........Drama!

HP Envy 5660
My printer QUIT... died when I needed to scan, print, sign papers and email them.. I rushed to Staples and said "I want the cheapest all in one printer you have as long as it is not a Canon"

They had two.

I said to the salesman... "Which one of these has the cheapest ink?"  he grabbed his calculator and Said The Envy E printer is what you want....  you can.....Easily connect this e-printer to your internet with 3 quick steps.... HE DID NOT SAY

The EASY ENVY part comes with using you SMART PHONE (I don't have one), 3 clicks and you  and can print from anywhere in the world from your phone to you home printer.... Even if I had a smart phone why would I print at home from where ever I was.

Bob came to see why I was saying WORDS! Being The Male he said Let Me Do It...

She says...If you think you can go ahead..... Think DRAMA! Words and More Drama! LOUD Drama!

I end up slowly reading the instructions from the PC screen, while he stands in front of the ENVIOUS printer following them.. DRAMA! then guess what happened....

THE MALE said I need Light! and reaching out picked up the desk lamp.... and..... and.............
Sat it on the OFF Button To The PC...Shutting it down instantly.
Can you say Drama?
PS...the printer works beautifully..

Ida from Wishes and Other things challenged me to the Quote Challenge... Here you go Ida.

And they say technology is supposed to make things easier?

I don't like it that instructions come only in digital format nowadays. I have a Canon printer. It is great for photos. Really great. But it eats up ink like no other printer! Good luck with your new one!

Good morning, I did not know they made a printer that used cheap ink. My ink cost so much and does not seem to last long. I aam glad all is well and working now.

I love the quotes! Enjoy your day and the week ahead!

Glad you have a printer up and running, Sandra! A printer that uses cheap ink? Never heard of such a thing. I think the "ink barons" are living in huge expensive homes right beside the "oil barons."

Anything new casues us lots of drama!

I saw your comment on Frog and Penguin - I recently saw the adult coloring books at a discounted price at Dollar General. They were on a stand alone rack near the front door.

Oh my! I can just imagine the frustration and glad it turned out okay. You gave me a smile this morning. I put myself in your shoes.

Hooray on getting a new printer. I love my new Canon Printer which replaced an older Canon printer. Best of luck! New gadgets are never easy but glad it all turned out okay.

Words...Years ago I was worded into using a laser printer to save on ink money. I don't print in color unless I have a real good reason for it on my scanner (printer). lol

it seems that these days everything is connected to a smart phone. I have an HP printer and the ink isn't too expensive compared to some others

Thanks for joining in. That's a very good quote! Enjoyed your printer story. We use an HP printer and like it.

There is always drama when the technology doesn't work. How many times I've found myself singing, "If I had a hammer..."

Sounds like a dramatic week in your home what with heaters and printers! It was central heating pressure in ours last week and paper stuck in the printer today.
Hope you're having a good day today, Sandra!
