Ponderings of a MadSnapper..again

Ibis front yard, there were 20 of them

I nearly bent the end of the USB cord trying to put  it in my Nikon  to collect my photos.

The 2 USB cords hang in ports on the front of the computer. The short one goes to the BIG Nikon and is closet to my arm, the LONG one goes to the LITTLE Canon (yes, I am slightly OCD)

When doing the  dreaded dusting last week, I must have  transposed them.... I accused Bob, he denies it. KIDDING. I know who did it.

My question is..... why did I keep trying to put the wrong USB in the camera? If it doesn't fit, something is wrong... It either slides right in or it doesn't. My brain said if the USB is on this side of the ports it goes in the Nikon.... Ergo! I have the Nikon, the cord is in the right port, it has to fit this camera...

My other question is why does the BIG camera have a short cord and the LITTLE camera have a long one?  And why does the little camera have a large hole to push it in and the big camera has a small hole ?????   (more OCD thinking)

Good morning, I love the Ibis and the Collared Dove. I only use my CanonSX40 and luckily only have one type of card to use.

Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

Canons usually have long cords... Why? I don't know... Lovely images!

Love that dove shot...I too think they are such a sweet and gentle bird. As to cords, I use the same one for all my canons plus the little HP camera.

MOL MOL MOL MS were you trying to put a square peg in a round hole?
Mom does that with the fitted sheets. They only fit ONE way...and when they don't fit the way mom wants them to fit...she tugs and tugs. One set has a tag that always goes at the left top corner...the other doesn't she pulls All she pulls is her back out of whack....did that yesterday.
Hugs madi and mom

There is no rhyme nor reason as to the whys to these things. It is the fates that are sent to test us, lol.

I would love to see a yard filled with those lovely Ibis. Beautiful.
The Mourning Doves are pretty too but they can be messy when they try to land on a bird feeder that's not for them. The Doves tried to do that at our previous home. All the bird seed would come flying out and scatter...a perfect invitation for the rats to think it was a free potluck for them. Unfortunately we had to stop the feeder because of that. Seed gone...rats finally gone!

The dove is my favorite.

I thought of you this a.m. I did something goofy and actually remember it to tell you!!! I was disinfecting the counters with a rag and thought, "you need to put the rag in the washer." I opened the trashcan and threw the rag in! lol

Love the bird shots.

All excellent questions and the best answer I can come up with is that it's because they were all designed by a man. If a woman had designed them there would be a universal USB that fit all cameras

I was going to say that maybe you have too many cameras (as a joke, of course) but then I checked out the picture of the dove and saw the writing from the sign above reflected on its back (or was that something you edited in?), doesn't matter, you will never have too many cameras. So it's probably because a man designed them as Ann said above.

Who? Who? Who designed this? Asks the dove

I hate having to keep track of all the dang cords for charging all the different devices. My Canons both use the same cord for putting photos on the computer. Love the dove photo!

If it doesn't fit you must acquit!

I'm delighted (as are you, no doubt) to see your tree survived. We had ours pruned several years ago to the tune of $800. It needs some more work done, they said the oaks reach a certain point then start to die back. As it is said, the hurricanes will remove any pruning you didn't get done. For free - as long as it doesn't cause damage when it lands where it may.
