Friend of Fronds

I showed you the tall Cane Palms in our yard a few days ago. This Cane Palm is a self pruner. They turn Red then brown then fall to the ground..

To me they are beautiful even dead and on the ground. Except they do need to be hauled to the curb for trash pickup..
Fronds turn Red
Then they are dead
they fall to the ground
and no longer  need to be around
To the curb they must go
Oh NO Oh NO
 NOT my JOB....
THAT belongs to BOB...

Thank goodness these palms are self pruners. In my experience, your hands get sliced badly trying to work with the fronds. I like the rhyme! I'm trying to get back into blogging visits again. Forgive me for being so absent! Blessings Jo

I like the idea of a self pruning plant and hubby would too! They look pretty with the sun shining through them. I like the rhyme.

Now what does Bob think of your prose, lol! :) Well, I enjoyed it and loved those beautiful photos. I can understand your love for fronds. I love the ferns we get up here. Your palms are always so tropical looking and remind me of our vacations in Florida. You've caught the contrasting colors beautifully when it gets ready to fall to the ground.

You got that right!! Altho, 'round here it's Bud's job. [couldn't think of anything dealing with the chore that rhymes with Bud tho! Daggnabit]

ps....love, love LOVE your coloring book of all things tropical and green. Cool storage unit too. Clever gal.

As for pencils or markers....I never bought markers...I bought only colored pencils. I now have 68 different colors. And have nearly used up all the black already. lol

Do show some of your coloring work when you have time. I'll show you mine if you show me yours. *wink

Good luck with that!!! Louis Dean was spray painting some railing he is using to reinforce our new gazebo. I watched as he finished and the can was empty and he TOSSED IT OVER HIS SHOULDER where it fell to the ground - never to be thought of again - by HIM!!!
