Independence Day 1776-2016

July 4, 1776
We think of July 4, 1776, as a day that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. But July 4, 1776 wasn't the day that the Continental Congress decided to declare independence (they did that on July 2, 1776).
Today the USA celebrates 240 years of Independence as a Democratic Nation....

the first photo is my pot metal 1776 Soldier, with a candle holder beside him.. The below photo and the eagle are pages I colored on line, and the fireworks are PicMonkey fireworks that were SuperPhotoApp monkeyed with.  All work on this page done by ME the MAD Snapper

Wow! You know how to make info and learning FUN. And make beautiful creations. So the soldier is yours? Looks like something one would find in a fancy house. Adore the fireworks!! They are perfect. Beautiful and fun July Fourth post!

I like the soldier and all your art work. I enjoyed the fireworks display especially since there was no loud bang to go along with them :)
Have a happy 4th

That's so interesting about the original declaration (being) July 2!
Tho' he's pot metal, your little soldier instantly brought to mind old protest song, "One Tin Soldier."
(I'm no anti-war propaganda-ist, but I loved that particular tune.)

Happy Fourth!

Happy 4th of July Sandra.

Love your first picture. You did an amazing job.
Fire works is amazing.

That would be nice to go and see the Aquarium.
Do you have a leaflet to email me. So I can show him.
Do you know the prices to get in. I suppose you do if your going with friends.

My son really lives a throw away from U.S. boarder.

Interesting results. I like! Beautiful images. The best part is that you can make them into real time pictures for the walls if you want!
