Sharing My Knowledge

I clicked on a favorite blog, THE7MSNRANCH and found a post about Linda's 11 miles to her mail box. She informed us that  USPS now has a service called Informed Mail Delivery. if you Register each morning you receive an email of what is out for delivery. Scanned pics of your mail.

I went to USPS and enrolled for Informed Mail because Our Mail delivery is sporadic and often we find others mail in our box and ours in others box. I have all my bills come in email, but several times a year there is important mail I NEED. like a check.

Once a box of business cards sat at a lady's home for 3 weeks, the company had already sent another box when I called asking where they were. She brought them 3 weeks later and when I called to tell the company they said, you now have 2 boxes for one price, enjoy.

My first email showed 2 pieces of scanned mail, one being the one below. both appeared that day. The next scan was on Friday and it is now Sunday and no mail at all.. Waiting to see how long it takes to get here. I wonder if AMAZON would consider mail delivery...

We got a flyer in the mail about signing up for this. I read all the benefits, and it looked good! But when I went online to sign up, all I got was the runaround. Every time I typed in a different password and name, they said it was already in use. I tried for quite awhile, then got mad and threw the flyer away! Glad you got it though, it looks very good!

Thankfully our mail is good here in uk. Generally when you post a letter it is there the next day and parcels in 2-3 days.

I've never heard of this service. Sounds interesting. We don't really have much problem with our mail though. Sounds like you might have some incompetent mail carriers. I'm also wondering why a person would hold on to someone's mail for 3 weeks before taking it to them. That's kind of rude

Well that's an interesting service....I's just rather get my mail on time though. :) . I am not a fan of the post office at ALL. Such incompetence...at least at our local ones.

I learned something new this a.m. Hope it works out for you.

Our service has also declined in recent years.
I have mixed reactions. On the one hand I'm glad that it will keep someone working to pull out an individual's mail for scanning. On the other hand I can see the headlines down the road. 'Person's scanned mail led too . . .'.
P.S. Did Bob run out and save up to $175 on the pool cleaner even before the 'real' mail arrived? HAHA

Amazing...I had no idea.
I wonder when/if they can come up with something to cut out junk mail delivery?

I had not heard of this...I need to do this after while. Like you, there are times I want to know if something is sent...

in recent years, mail service has declined while I think they have less to deliver. I don't know why that is.

I have slowed down on getting others' mail, but always wonder how much of ours has gone elsewhere.

Interesting. I finally got a PO box several years ago because kids in my neighborhood would not leave my mailbox alone. Now I just check my mail a couple of times a week, but it's usually junk. I always get my Amazon packages delivered to my PO box and have never had a problem.

I recently opened a USPS account for purchasing stamps at the office ... but never heard of Informed Mail.

Sigh. Both at work and at our neighborhood 'group' mailboxes, I'm accustomed to mis-delivered mail. Aside from boycotting the PO (*smile*) I don't know how of if this will ever be resolved. Do carriers just not care, anymore? Sad.

As I'm typing this I can view the "My Children" below the pop up comment box...I must go view that too.

USPS....now that's a joke. The federal government just isn't my cup of tea lately. Of course, I guess that USPS is a privatized business now? Who knows. I like this idea and may just go register. Our neighbors have rec'd our mail many times, and I don't like that...the guy is terribly snoopy. He opened one of our letters saying "I thought it was ours"...ya, right!

Hope you had a great weekend, and I am now gonna go catch up reading your blog from my blog hiatus.

Happy Week Ahead to you.

HI Sandra, I am using my mini iPad to read and comment on my favorite blogs! My desktop is messed up from the latest Windows 10 update! Our mail is always slow, lost or delivered to the wrong address. It is good to have the bills online. Happy Monday, enjoy your day!

Dang!... that is a typo on my part. Using cellphone & it auto corrected...that should read I DO like Daniel's style.

What a cool service...I'm going to sign up, sometimes it takes forever to get our mail here in "the middle of nowhere" California!

That is a cute ad! Even though Mark pays the bills online we still get the paper form because I don't bank online and if something happened to him I wouldn't know what bills need to be paid.

That's an interesting service. I hope it works for you. We have pretty good mail service here and rarely get someone elses mail.
Love your new App. You always have so much fun with those things.
