Embarrassing Moment!

Let me entertain you with my entertainment in  Surgery Waiting Room for five hours.

Our home is less than 2 miles from the hospital, at various times I raced out to the car and home to let our dog Jake out. When I returned to the waiting room, I sat and then decided to walk around the room taking photos of various things. Every step my shoe went Pop! Pop! Pop!.. this pair has never done that. I was embarrassed at the noise so sat down.

Pulled off the offending sandal, I found PINE TAR.. on the bottom of my heel.

I walked barefoot around the back yard with the dog, getting pine tar on my right heel, when I put my foot in the shoe, it glued my heel to the shoe.

Each time I stepped, it Popped Loose and sounded like a canon going off with each step...

I limped when I walked to stop the noise to get these photos for all of you. And the next time I went home, I cleaned my foot and changed sandals.

These vases and balls are very pretty! How did you get the tar on your shoes? I love your beautiful edit! I'm sure you never want to see that hospital again!

That would have been embarrassing and annoying but you could handle the situation I'm sure.

Thankfully everything went great with Bob, so the tar can stay there for all it wants :D

That's wild about the pop pop with every step. Reminds me of getting the squeaky cart at the grocery store. At least everybody knows to get out of my way Lol. Glad you had your camera. I like the pics and your header is really nice.

I have had shoes that squeaked and it is embarrassing!

I also remember wearing corduroy pants when I was a kid and when you walked they made a noise!

MS that is too funny about your shoe. I bought a new pair of New Balance for our trip...because the stress comfy shoes and clothes. They were comfy but OMCs they had a click in them out there that they don't have here. I don't think they are 'high altitude' shoes. I love that coffee cup sign

Well at least you found out what caused the sound! :) I've had shoes that only make sounds on some surfaces but not on others, I know the feeling. One puts them on and leaves home - fine - and then one enters somewhere with the wrong kind of floor and ooops... Everyone can hear you coming...

What? No picture of the tar on foot! LOL Every now and then I get a pair of shoes that squeak when I step...I hate it. I hate anything that draws attention to me.

At least you got blog fodder while you waited.

I've had shoes that squeak when you are walking on tiled floors. I'm like Rose and hate attention brought to myself. I like your new header and your waiting room photos.

Nothing Hospital looking about that.

Cool photos! I had a shoe noise issue once when I was visiting the library in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I was researching some Civil War stuff and every step I took my shoe made a huge squeak. Everyone would look up. It was horrid, but nothing I could do about it. :-) Love that header!

So you limped. I am laughing. I can just see you. Your lucky you never had the operating attendants go by with the roller bed going to the O.R. They would think . Here she is Jim poor thing limping. She must thinks she had to walk this time to Operating room. What knee is it? You would say. Its not my knee you sily -------. As that time you were barefooted down the hall.

oh Sandra you do get in such predicaments. Wrong place and bad timing too.
And your the gal who wears those expensive name brand sandal bargains you get . And the tar took them apart. My, my.

I would say the noise also would be a little embarrassing.

They have some attractive displays in that waiting room.

You must have been in quite a state during Bob's surgery. So glad that you had your photography interest to distract your mind with some interesting things to snap and edit. Continuing to think of you both. Hope Jake is coping as he must be wondering what's going on.

Looks like you did a great job keeping your mind busy and making beautiful art while Bob was in surgery :-)

They had some pretty cool decorations in the waiting room. Maybe they knew you needed things to take pictures of while you waited

I hope surgery went well. You sure can't be discreet with tar on your heel!

Oh that's funny! (Well, no ... not for you.) Now I'm trying to envision you doing the flat-footed shuffle before getting the heck out-a Dodge.

That coffee sign is great!

Smiling here, been thinking of you and Bob. Pine tar sounds hard to get off.

Interesting decorations- I'm glad you are home now and Bob is chomping at the bit to get outdoors and swim and clean the pool and do all that man stuff that men do. I'm also glad that his surgery turned out well. Still in my prayers.

Hello, I think sometimes we can focus on a noise that others can not hear.
I hope Bob is recovering and doing well now. Love the pretty vases. Enjoy your day!
