Repost from 2011- Stranger and the Snook

Saturday early AM, Beer Can Island...and I never know what the morning will bring to my madly snapping self

I passed a lone fisherman, just had to Snap!

Photos from my archives..2011

I saw the fisherman walk out of the water with a very large Snook.
I walked over and said, My husband would die to catch that fish.

Meet Arthur and he caught not one but 2 Snook. Snook are the best fish in Florida in my book, next are the grouper.
And I love meeting nice strangers and Yes, I did ask his permission to post his photo.

Arthur, click on My Profile on the side bar and pick up my email address and send me  your email and I will email you the photos.

My friend Diane was there and below are two photos she took of Arthur.

I love all those birds you captured! Wonder if they are after that fish? I have never ever heard of a Snook. They don't have them in grocery stores or restaurants. But it is a big and pretty fish. The first picture is gorgeous! Beautiful sky and sea.

Hello, nice photos of Arthur. The snook is a big fish, great catch. I have tried the grouper but not the snook. I also love the group of Black Skimmers on the beach, first shot. Happy Thursday, have a happy day!

I love those pictures and the luck that Arthur wore a light blue t-shirt to match the sky and the water so perfectly. I have never heard of a snook before. You always learn something new on the blogs.

Our friend Sandy he catches those big fish. Not sure what a snook is nether. He gives them away to other neighbours as wife does not like those fish. She would rather have Fish and Chips.

He fishes every day even in the winter. He don't like to clean them. Or fillet them or whatever.

Being from Nova Scotia. Him and his brothers fished all there life's and still do.

Never heard of a Snook but I'll take your word that they taste good. I'm not much of a fish eater. Great shots of the fisherman and his catch.

Snook is new to me, too. Great shots, and that is one lovely beach area.
