Dozens of 1st Cousins

My Mothers First Cousin Lois has 3 daughters, Lois- Lynn, Rocks-Ann and Faye on the left. On the right is my 1st cousin Andrea with Granddaughter Erin.
I found these two photos on Facebook and thought.. What is Erin to ME? I have always believed Andreas son would be a 2nd cousin and Erin a 3rd cousin.  I ran a Google Search for the answer..

All of the cousins in these photos I have known all my life, and am still in touch with a couple times a year and at weddings/funerals/reunions.

I  thought I had ONLY 6 1st cousins on Paternal side and 4 on Maternal side. Wrong!

All the children of my 1st cousins are my 1st cousins once removed and there children are my 1st cousins twice removed and on down the line. If the line starts with 1st cousin it continues down each generation as 1st removed.

I find these cousins make  DOZENS OF 1st  COUSINS

On My Mothers side of the family, the red X above are my 1st Cousins and spouses, with children and grandchildren.
there children are my 1st cousins once removed, their grandchildren are my 1st cousins twice times removed. Wow

My 1st cousin Bonnie has contributed two 1st cousins once removed and Seven  1st cousins twice removed.

1st  cousin Sharie gave me three 1st cousins once removed and 2 twice removed
!st cousin once removed Corie has given a total of five  1st cousins twice removed. and I am not sure what the spouses are. Do we count them to? if so I have Dozens and Dozens of First Cousins.
I love all my cousins and all but the last photo live a few miles away.
These are only the cousins from my Mothers side of the family, Floridians. There are dozens more in Georgia from Daddy's side..
We need to have a first cousin reunion... we will have to rent the Civic Center.

Ghost Cat on a tree

Looking good, feline good.
But One wrong step could be cat-astrophic...!!!!

I added the cat photo that was taken in a concrete parking lot to the tree branch over water. I used PicMonkey for the edit. Using photos from my archives.

Picture It #2

2002 Ghost Photo

Some of you have commented on my Lunapic edits are different than yours. Above is one click edit in ART/Landscape. I never use one click. I use the slider at the top, dragging it until I like it, click adjust.

The next step is to use Sharpen under the Adjust to top left of the page, under adjust I use any or many of the choices, like the lighting, the colors, the levels, all have sliders. Contrast is one I use to. after each adjustment, be sure to click the adjust above the photo or it doesn't save for you to go forward.  NOTE: try all the things across the top. that is what I am doing a little each week.

This one I used under adjust, the Color Spotting, under adjust. Simply click the color you want to keep and it makes it monotone and leaves only the one color. if you don't like it go up to Edit and click undo last action and try again.... I love Lunapic almost as much as PicMonkey...Cheap Entertainment for me.

Picture It...#1

My very first ghost photo, 2002 combining 2 photos.
Picture This... a 1997 Computer, Windows 95 operating system. My very first home computer. No Interenet. I used it like a word processor, for typing up the Sunday School lessons I taught.

This sail boat was way out in the gulf, I used my zoom to take a photo, and added it to a water view
2002, I purchase my first digital Kodak Easy Share, 3 MP camera and a CD called Picture it. My life changed forever. These two photos were created using Picture It and merging two photos into one. I called them Ghost Pictures. Now I use Photoshop or PicMonkey to merge and it is much easier.

Well, PIP my Pot, I am Crazy

I got a new Mr. Coffee...quite by Chance. Email received from K-Mart stating my 15.60 Rewards dollars would expire in 3 days. OH NO! Not my REWARDS from spending 100.00 2 months ago in the store buying smaller sized clothes.

I frantically drove to K-Mart, in need of a smaller bathing suit.. NOTHING! NADA! I could find nothing to spend the money on. I made a trip to the Potty as per usual, and when I came out I was on the Coffee Pot Aisle and there was a huge clearance sign, all Pots Must Go...  Since we were expecting the last perk of the pot at home, I picked the one I wanted and skipped merrily up to the cashier expecting to pay a Mere Ten Dollars for the pot. Wrong! I had no idea I had to have a PIN number to get the full amount.
She said I can give you TEN of the 16 but without the pin, not the full amount. I bought the Pot anyway, paying a mere SIXTEEN instead of TEN.  The No Sale/No Rewards would have been 40 dollars.

And Came home and PIPPED my POT.... you know PIP, the android app on my tablet that I love....I never know when to stop. and here we are... of course the POT is really Black, but who cares.. It works, it is automated, and easy peasy to set the timer.
WAITING now for an email to decide what I NEED Next...

2865 Posts of Crazy

OOPSY 3
I once took 46 photos of a syrup bottle, calling the post, PRIME PRACTICE. .

Bob saw me snapping happily and raised his eyebrows. I said
"I am the only person you know that can spend hours happily with nothing but a syrup bottle, camera and computer"

While browsing old posts, I found this one with the bottle and noticed I have posted 2865 posts about NOTHING At All...most of the time.

Today is 7/20/2017 and I posted City Walkabout on this date 7/20/2009 and I find I am still posting the same type things now as then...Eight years of blogging and I am still much the same.

How about a coffee pot using night vision in Lunapic? If you think this is crazy wait until tomorrow...

I Can't Help Myself.. Really

Sitting with hubby in the sun by the pool, I noticed one of our male anole sitting in the shade on the step railing and took the three photos above. None of them were very good shots, so I visited PicMonkey with them.  Here is The Rest Of The Story......

Which side is his best side?

If I had my nails painted, would it be a manicure or a pedicure or both? Aren't those toes incredible?

Nice of you to stop by, I guana go now...

The ART of Disguise

My friends wanted to see my new bathing suit, I had Bob take 2 photos. He must be the worlds worst photographer because the suit I loved when I tried it on in the dressing room, caused instant hate in the photos.  I had taken the first bloom of our Night Blooming cactus, 40 feet in the air and it was a really bad photo. Hello, PicMonkey.... I disguised my suit, me and the flower.

But you can still Get The Picture... Right???

Henny Penny Wisdom

HELLO, My Name is Henny Penny Sandra... and I run to and fro shouting the sky is falling....

The day we were waiting to find out if and when and who would do Bob's surgery,  I opened my tablet and read these words on Respice, Prospice post...

"We work so hard at being in control while things just keep being hurled at us, proving that we're not."  So, we worry.  We fret about the things that scare us.  And then we worry some more.

Hello, My Name is Henny Penny Sandra.. I ran smaller circles after reading the above quote.

and the week before I found this quote, somewhere,  Copied it and saved it.

Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

I am now looking back and the circles have stopped. Until The Next Time..

This is NOT a Whopper...

That Red Fish was This Big...

The first week of May, Jake had a tumor removed from his eye lid, Bob found out that same week he had Melanoma. End of May Jake and Bob were in a Dog fight that crippled Jake for a week, Melanoma surgery June 9th and on Sat a week later Bob had a Stroke, we had to wait a week for blood thinner to get out of his system.. Most of you knew this. Thank you to all who supported me through this last 2 months.

Then in all the chaos Disaster Struck...   "The Cable DVR Quit. as in did not work. At All.... "
It was like The End Of The World.
I had to decide to leave Bob Home Alone and fret over him or let him have another stroke because he could not watch NASCAR and NHRA.

TV won..
I drove straight to Spectrum and exchanged the DVR, Be glad you were not a fly on the wall while we hooked it up...

Alas! they changed the FORMAT... the menu on the screen, everything we use was DIFFERENT.. Bob Panicked. It was NASCAR/NHRA week end.. Disaster Averted, I figured it out...He calmed down, the whole week end was pre-recorded by Madsnapper

There it was, waiting to be watched and he went to hospital.

The good news was, when he came home 3 days later there was lots and lots, hours and hours of racing to watch.

I have pondered if the death of the DVR  could have caused the stroke??? hummmm

We came home from hospital and Day Two at home.... NO CNN! the noise he made, OH MY!
the only channel missing out of 87 million was NOT THERE.. for hours...

I checked the TV in  the bedroom. THERE it was.. He did not miss it enough to watch it on the tiny 36 inch flat screen (remember the 19inch). HE WANTED THE BIG SCREEN. I mean who cares, all they do is yada yada blah blah . (in my opinion)

Listening to his ranting, I picked up the phone and dialed 611 which is a direct line to Spectrum and GUESS WHAT.....   I got a  recorded message saying Due to high call volumn, we can not answer your call, If you are calling about missing channels ..We are Aware of  The Problem with CNN, our engineers will have it repaired shortly....  whooo boy I bet those lines were HOT..
I do solemnly swear this is NOT a Whopper Story but the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Decorator MIND? no Mind? OCD?

See ME on Sofa... I dragged Bob to the hearing aid store, left him in the car and went in to get his hearing aids cleaned and repaired from his trip to hospital and people handling them that did not know how. Free so no big deal!  (he was in car to keep him safe from over doing while the cat was away)
While waiting, I first noticed the three red X's you see to your left. Framed photos, SMALL ones, way to small for the large wall. The two beside the door were TOUCHING the door frame leaving 20 inches of wall that they could have been centered in.

one thing led to another in my MIND and I thought Orange walls? green carpet?  which caused me to notice the gold sofas and BLUE table cloth (plastic) that the  Burgundy coffee maker was on. 2 off gray skinny ugly chairs were jammed for no reason against the table, the coffee table was HUGH and ugly brown wood with a glass on top....   are you picking up what I am putting down?

Would any of this Bother You? Do you have OCD gene? Decorate gene? Does décor Bother You?

PiP and My Lightbulb

PIP and ME with a little PicMonkey on the side

It is not like I have never posted about my darling little lightbulb that sits in my nook. Click Here for the post on when I bought it way back in 2013..   Staring at the lightbulb I said to PIP the Camera App... I see you have a filter that takes photos of lightbulbs through a light bulb..

that is the last I remember until I read this post...

For some silly reason the app takes the photo like this, which we can all see is UPSIDE DOWN. Lucky ME, PicMonkey can rotate it for me....
