Decorator MIND? no Mind? OCD?

See ME on Sofa... I dragged Bob to the hearing aid store, left him in the car and went in to get his hearing aids cleaned and repaired from his trip to hospital and people handling them that did not know how. Free so no big deal!  (he was in car to keep him safe from over doing while the cat was away)
While waiting, I first noticed the three red X's you see to your left. Framed photos, SMALL ones, way to small for the large wall. The two beside the door were TOUCHING the door frame leaving 20 inches of wall that they could have been centered in.

one thing led to another in my MIND and I thought Orange walls? green carpet?  which caused me to notice the gold sofas and BLUE table cloth (plastic) that the  Burgundy coffee maker was on. 2 off gray skinny ugly chairs were jammed for no reason against the table, the coffee table was HUGH and ugly brown wood with a glass on top....   are you picking up what I am putting down?

Would any of this Bother You? Do you have OCD gene? Decorate gene? Does décor Bother You?

I love colour, but like matching colours, for me it's a more harmonious and calming decor.

I suggest you just find a hearing aid store with better taste!!

Hello, Sandra! It does sound like they love colors in that shop. You could be their decorator and show them how it is done. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

I sit and analyze dr. offices etc. too. Some are really tacky!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my stars. Harvest gold and avocado green everywhere.
Tell the the 1970's called and they want their furniture back.
I like things centered too; however, I'm seeing less and less of it on the home shows. With the Open concept rooms. They think nothing of plopping a couch in the middle of the wide open spaces...the couch serving a an imaginary wall I guess! I'd break my neck in a house with furniture arranged like that

Wow, I love and am impressed with your schematic of the entire room! I have never seen anything like it...the graphic, not the room. My first thought is that they are running on a shoestring and just got bits and pieces of furniture from friends and Goodwill. But that doesn't explain the hanging of the pictures!! WHY? Of course you can't ask, since you still have to deal with these people. And also, how can the employees look at it each day?

I would be up on a chair with a hammer! It would only take five minutes! Seems like they need to work on vision, not hearing aids!

You are my first blog today, and it is a busy day. But now I want to get up and tinker with everything in the house!!!

Hi Sanda, I would want to center the pictures properly and move some of the furniture around that's for sure!
Have a good day!

Brother...who decorated that place.
Sounds like rummage sale finds just thrown together.
I don't blame you for re-doing it in your mind...I would have done the same thing.

Sandra, you're just the best! You made us see this badly decorated waiting room. I agree with Ginny: they need to concentrate on vision even more than hearing!

I am wondering just how old everything really is...maybe by going cheap that way is how they do the free cleanings. I know Roger gets a lot of 'free' things with his hearing aids...not that we did not pay a whopping price for them.

I'm not the best at devorating and I don't feel like I have any fesign style at all but I know when something is ugly. This sounds ugly

Nah...I rarely take in anything like this. I guess my gene pool has been drained.

ps....now the post previous to this "Almost Wordless Wed...." is stunning Sandra.

Good grief ... I'm practically starting to itch just reading your description. I don't claim to have any 'flair' for decorating, but this sounds horrid.

Wouldn't you despair, going to that place every day to work?

Nope! That would not bother me at all! Not my circus! Not my monkeys! I just learned that phrase and am trying to put it to good use! Now my Summer looks at everything with an eye as to how she could FIX it! Perhaps I used to be like that but now I am older and more tired and I simply don't care what other people do. I think I may have turned a corner on that recently!!
I sure miss seeing your post everyday! They are there but I haven't been! Love you and thank you for all your support and encouraging words. So glad you are keeping Bob on a short leash!
