Funny thing happened

My 2nd favorite photo of Bob is this double exposure I created with two photos. He is feeling much better and we are having Hot Dogs for the 4th, since he says he can eat them now.

Funny thing happened....Bob had the stroke, my brain took the hit, mass confusion, I could not think or function. The nurse handed me papers to sign. I said what is the date, she said the 18th, I said and what month? I really could not think of it.
I drew a total blank. Bob laughed and said Who is the president?
If I had said I don't know they may have committed me.

While the spider killer was in hospital, I stepped in the bathroom and saw a spider on the shower curtain... I jumped and squeaked.
Turned out to be the magnet on the bottom of the new shower liner. He He He

A day early, tomorrow is USA Birthday. created in Pizap

This is a gorgeous picture of Bob!!! I am so glad he is better and wanting hot dogs! Yes, I have been scared by those magnets! So I finally got rid of the curtains and got a sliding door. I cannot use small print sheets either; like little flowers or dots. In the dim light, I wake up and think they are bugs. Your fireworks and flag are beautiful!

Love that picture of Bob! Thank him for gracing us with his photo! He has a huge fan club!
I'm so happy you and He are celebrating every single day TOGETHER!
Listen, Sandra! Sometimes you just have to deal with things - such as spiders - like a big girl! Get Bob to mix up a pump sprayer from Lowes or Home Depot with a Suspend concentrate you can get at a feed store. It's great for killing spiders and Louis Dean is especially sensitive to spider bites. It works great! LD mixes it for me and I do the spraying! Win! WIN!!

Funny how things affect us isn't it? When Tom had his heart attack my jaw decided to go up and down with nerves and I couldn't stop it. lol
I really, really love that picture, I had to look a bit to see him but when I did I was blown away, just beautiful.

Stressful situations tend to make many of us lose it. I like Linda's idea of having Bob mix you up some spider spray.
Enjoy your hot dogs. I ate one last night

That's a great photo of Bob. Glad he is better and hot dogs sound very tasty for the 4th! Too funny about the "spider" magnet. Ever since I woke this morning, I thought today was the 4th! lol

That magnet gets me every time. No glasses and it becomes a stink bug in my eyes.

Hello, it is a great photo of Bob. I am glad Bob is feeling better, hot dogs sound good. That spider magnet sounds scary. I chased down a wasp in the house yesterday and killed it. Your 4th of July image is pretty. Have a happy Monday!

My one Granddaughters Birthday is on your great Holiday. So hard to remember as Canada celebrates it before yours. So her living so far away. I have to remember to get the card and check out to her way before time. Plus they take camping holidays on your celebration date.
We had hot dogs last night. Good he can down that no problem. One of our best friends has a beard like your Bob going on same number of years. I am not a fan of beards. Reminds me too much of Willy Nelson look. Not a fan of willy. My friend who has the beard look. he said I don't have to worry about shaving. Ha. ha. My friend said she could not imagine John without the beard. I guess that would be a different look to her and him. That art piece of your hubby is nice you id. Looks like the ladies desire it on your comments.
The Fireworks did not occur last tonight. Seeing the firemen were there night before. It was legal.

Have a nice day Sandra with your Tarzan Man. Glad he is being a good boy for you.

That's great news that he is improving and able to eat 'real food' on the 4th!

Ohhhhhhhhhh, I'm so glad to read that he's feeling better and ready for a hot dog. Bud and I will probably have that also tomorrow. It's kinda tradition.

LOL on the shower curtain magnet. You crack me up. And that is probably what Bud would ask me if I had papers to sign after HE had a stroke [god forbid] I can understand the confusion.

Oh Sandra, I really, really love that double photo of Bob. Its one to frame.
I'm so glad he is feeling better and life will be "more normal" for both of you.
The brain is an amazing and weird thing. too many things at one time can certainly make it go on overload.
I get nervous sometimes as hubby gets older (and so do I)
Keep plugging along and cherish each day.

Oh my sweet friend; that magic photo celebrates the success of Bob's surgery and his complete healing. It also heralds your brain being back on track! I love it! Have a happy 4th of July and enjoy the hot dogs! Blessings Jo

Oh my word, that's an amazing double exposure! Definitely frame worthy!
Glad to know, I'm not the only one whose brain takes unscheduled recesses. I heard something once about the body physically experiencing shakes and panic, long after the trauma has passed.

LOL about the shower curtain magnet! Some time ago I was sure I saw the outline of a roach (eeeew) on the other side of our verticals. Climbing up on the guest bed, I held the Raid aloft in one hand and yanked back the blinds with the other ... only to discover a bird "poop/splat" on the outside window. (I'm convinced we females possess a greater imagination than the fellas.)

I think you were in shock and that's why you couldn't remember what you would normally remember. I think you were amazing that you did what you did. Great double exposure. So glad Bob is feeling better. Hotdogs sounds good. We were talking about having hotdogs too.

That is a gorgeous photo of Bob. I so understand about the brain fog. I met up with a really big spider and two more that looked like baby versions of the big one on my little porch the other day. I managed to shoo them away with a towel and hope they don't intend to come back and break in my house. Thought about you.

We enjoyed our hot dogs too! I'm not supposed to eat them but just had to have one on the 4th of July. Glad it wasn't a spider....
