Woe Is US 3

Jake is not happy and neither am I... The Daddy/hubby in our lives is sick. He has had sinus crud for 9 days and now has gout in shoulder and elbow, has not slept for 3 night/3 days. to much pain. This is what Jake and daddy do all day long when not walking or out by the pool. Now daddy has been on sofa for 3 days, laying not sitting. PLUS Mommy is going to meet the dozens of cousins you Met in Prior Post at our Cousin reunion today at 4.

The Best Made Plans of Mice and MOMMA have gone awry. Everything I bought for food this week is NOT ON THE GOUT diet.... the only thing in the house that is on the diet, skim milk, cheese, whole grain bread, eggs and frozen chicken. I put the HUGE pot of Chili I made yesterday in containers in the freezer.... The two tomatoes that cost me TWO DOLLARS each, he can not eat..
and now I wonder if I caused the gout because who knew BEANS are on the LIMIT eating list. And we have been living on beans
Below is Jake for the past 3 days, the two above are from a couple of weeks ago. Isn't this the saddest I Miss My Daddy face ever?????

Oh dear poor Daddy. I have never heard of gout in the shoulder, are you sure he hasn't got a frozen shoulder, that is murder, I know I have had one.
I really hope things improve for all of you soon, its no fun when one of you is poorly.

Awwww, it sounds like Bob is having it longer and worse than you did. I did not know you could get gout in your shoulder and elbow! I have a friend who has it in his foot, and when it is bad, he cannot let even the sheet touch it because of the pain. Will Bob go to the doctor? You took medicines, maybe that is why yours was not as bad as his?

OH NO....for Jack and OH NO for hubby! So hoping that he feels so much better soon. I know ragweed pollen has been on the raise here. I had a bit of a break with a few rainy days. Today temps are supposed to be going up here to 85, I like the 75 temps better!!! haha....can't have it all! Here's to Jack and hubby to having better days.

That's awful, Sandra!
OK, I'm going to come off sounding really ignorant here. Back in the 80's I had gout in my right toe ... nothing I'd wish on my worst enemy. I didn't realize there was a gout diet, or that certain foods exasperate it. Best I can recall, all they said was soak and soldier through it.
How can you tell the difference between gout and frozen shoulder? I had that several years ago, and literally had to lay my blouses on the bed and slither into them. I could not find a place to lay my head that didn't feel like someone was sticking a steak knife in my shoulder.

Growing old sucks! LOL. I've got my homework (eg Google) cut out for me. Hope and pray your sweetie finds relief real soon!

I have tried and tried to think of something to tell you to try for him to get relief and I just can't. It is hard seeing our loved ones suffer.

Sending our best wishes to Bob and Jake to feel better soon. My late uncle used to suffeer with gout and I don't recall what foods or medications helped him. I do recall however tht he said garlic was a cure-all, but not so sure about that treatment. I hope you are able to make the cousins reunion.

Oh dear, poor Bob and poor you and poor Jake. What a time you have had of it lately. Sending good vibes and positive energies your way and hope they help.

Life can seem so unfair. You are paying dearly for tomatoes and we are giving them away.
Then here you are improving your health through a healthy diet and something like gout crops up.
And then there's Jake. Poor old fella.
And now the threat of hurricane Irma.
Please know we empathize with you and are praying for Bob, Jake and yourself.

I was going to say when it rains it pours, but this is probably not a good time to think that! Praying for all of you.

So sorry to hear about Bob not feeling well. No wonder he ended up in the ER. Hope everything is back on track for him. Hope your party was fun. Love the photos of Jake.
