Ringling Ca Da Zan 2017

Ca’ d’Zan stands as a testament to the American Dream of the Roaring Twenties. Inspired by and designed in the Venetian Gothic style of the palazzos that ring the Venice canals, this dazzling palatial mansion perfectly captures the splendor and romance of the Italy the Ringlings so loved. To honor its owner, they named it Ca’ d’Zan, “House of John”, in the dialect of their beloved Venice. excerpt from The Ringling Website.

Built in 1924  the36,000 square foot mansion has 41 rooms and 15 bathrooms

Wow, I love the shots of the palm trees on the walls. And also the rounded alcove with the three tall arched windows. That would make a super reading nook. In your first picture, the corner piece looks like a face with eyes.

That's incredible! And that doorway!! My sister is in Sarasota each winter. I'll have to make sure she knows about this.

Magnificent building. I love the turret with the three windows particularly. You must have had a blast roaming around here. I know I would.

The house looks lovely, but that is 14 bathrooms too many for me to clean. Guess,if I could afford a house that size,I could also afford a maid and cleaning lady.

Lordy, but I'm old. 'First thing I thought was having to clean all those bathrooms. :(
In all seriousness, I'm so glad this has been preserved. Talk about fodder for day-dreams!

LOVED the burning pine-cone. 'Fireplace/fire-pit' would make a great fragrance, don't-cha think?
