The new and madly washing Washer is here,
Oh Dear! Oh Dear!
The defective washer is also here.
3 Loads down, 3 to go,
You all knew I would let you KNOW!
The fridge is cooling, the dryer is drying,
and now Madsnapper has stopped her sighing.
NOTE~ I used the photo from the web site for above picture, I did NOT put white and colored clothes in at one time....😉
Home Depot is to pickup the defective washer between 10 and 2 today, The day after Jessups delivered a wonder of wonder, working washer... I got so excited washing clothes and watching them spin through the see through top, I am late creating today's post.
Feb 16th our 20 year old washer spewed water all over the floor of the garage. Since all appliances were 20 years old, On Feb 18, I purchased Fridge, Washer, Dryer at the President Days Sale at Home Depot, with a savings of 200.00..
Let the fun begin.
Feb. 27 a week later, all 3 were delivered, the washer was destroyed when removed from box. Refused it and had to wait another WEEK for the second one, delivered on 3/7 and turned out to be defective and would not run through cycles
On 3/8 I stood speaking loudly with the manager of Home Depot and got him to agree to pick up the defective washer and refund the money on my card. Target date of pickup????
Today, March 14, exactly 28 days after I purchased it.
The good news, is I went to a Private Owned Appliance store, Jessups. They saved the day and delivered a washer on the 13th. After listing to my tale of woe, Jessups also gave me their President Day sale price on the washer even though that day was weeks in the past.
Now there are TWO washers in the garage and My Kia is in the driveway. I am sure it will be 2 and not 10 before they pick up the defect, and then the battle of WHEN will I GET MY MONEY BACK BEGINS...
I have threatened with calling Channel 8, our local go to for consumer problems, and hope that was sufficient. I also have a recording of the manager telling me, after pickup he would refund to my charge.. Waiting For Battle
