Where's Da Brain???

I made a Friday AM to-do list.
A list that a few short years ago, would have been completed in Under TWO hours!

At noon on Friday, most of the list was done, SIX hours of working on it. Six hours to do 2 hours of work. Here is the rest of the story.

I completed Two loads washed in new washer, dried in new dryer. That was on the top of the list.

The part of the TO-Do list, that was not written down, included

A.  Three  3 trips into the living room to Ask/Tell Bob something, that required me to walk back in the other room to figure out what to tell/ask.
B.  a few times of staring into the distant space trying to think what I intended to do or not do...

I peeled the apples, placed in microwave for 5 minutes, the dog asked out. I went with him because he refuses to PEE alone...

20 minutes later I came back in to check the list and found the microwave chime saying, hey stupid, were you cooking apples?

It seems I saw the deck covered in bright yellow allergens and leaves/flower pods from Avocado tree, and swept the whole deck.

I put the microwave on the last 4 minutes and tried to stay within hearing distance of said microwave.

Where Da Brain when I need it????.

You are not alone in wondering where your brain is when you need it sweet Sandra...mine takes a vacation often now days it seems. I have to go out with Chancy or stand in the door so he will pee...he and Jake are a pair. :) Hugs and give Jake some nose kisses for us.

WOW, how did you learn this skinny selfie trick? You don't need it now though, you are actually skinny.I still go into a room and can't remember why, apparently that is a common thing. We need to find BRAIN FOOD, and gorge on it.

This just cracks me up. I do this all day. Glad to know I am not the only one.

I frequently will head in one direction only to stop in my tracks trying to remember what I was going that way for. At least you never forget to do a blog post, that's the important part...lol

Rather than making a To Do list, I should just make a list at the end of the day of what I got done!! Then I can check off every item on the list. Ha ha

I'm convinced my brain takes mini vacations several times a day. If it weren't for my appliances having bells I'd be in a pickle
Hugs Cecilia
PS I'm staying far away from your deck with the allegerns.
I ended up at URGENT care yesterday. Finally someone gave me a pill to help with the itching and a cream for the rash!!

Hello, I like the skinny selfie. My brain likes to take vacations too. I make a list and loose the list. You are not alone. Enjoy your day!

I tend to lean to this ~ I forget so much cause I have so much going on in my head! I really hope that is! haha...I have sleep apnea also and I have slept with a CPAP machine for almost 13 yrs, but when I went on it I would tell people it was ~ lack of oxygen to the brain moments! Hey, whatever works works! Have a great day.

Why is it that as we get older, we a re so easily distracted? At least I am. Given enough time,I always get the work done, but it sure takes longer than it used to.

Louis Dean and I are right there with you! Tonight we came back from a day of shopping in Waco. We unloaded and were putting things up when I asked where are the light bulbs? He couldn't find them or the floodlights he bought. We looked and looked and looked and looked. Finally he got the receipt and called Home Depot and told them he didn't get home with all his purchases. They told him to bring his receipt in and they would make it right. He finally calmed down and was sipping his wine when he looked in the sink in the still unfinished bathroom and found ALL THE THINGS he THOUGHT he had left at Home Depot. We are learning to just laugh about things like this!

You are thin, you look awesome! My dads care was full of allergens one day. Luckily it rained the next day and rinsed it off.
