Babybel sing with me, Babybel Babybel

In my search for protein other than meat, I found Babybel Cheese, 60 calories each and 5 grms protein. Sunday AM, I wanted hush puppies, made with corn meal, boiling water and avocado oil, they have NO nutritional value and they have  NO protein, and as I reached for the last Babybel it left a tiny, oh so cute net bag, which could be a Vintage Hat for a doll.....
YOU NEVER KNOW
where my mind will go...
Nor what will show up inside my head
it might even be red read

Grabbing my tablet I sat the hat on a glass, since I had no doll, drew a face and I came out of the fog of creating and the next thing I knew........

I was on Amazon, AGAIN, looking at vintage net hats... They still sell them.  I spent a long time looking before I got back to this post.

Not liking the glass with hat, I popped it on my head and HATED the no makeup ME, remember this was breakfast, still in my gown (me in my gown, not my breakfast). I had to doctor it a little but you can see WHY I remembered I had several of these hats and wore one to church every week except Easter when the big bonnet with flowers came out.    DID YOU EVER WEAR ONE OF THESE???  Below in case you don't know what Babybel is and that it comes in little net bags. I wish my bag was RED.

I really like BabyBel... and at first, when I read about the little cute hat, I thought you meant the red rind which peels off nicely in half! Then I saw the net and got the picture... never did wear net; wore pillbox hats mother made to match dresses. No net. YAM xx

I love it ALL! My blood work came back with protein that is too low! So you have done me a huge favor! I have been looking for high protein foods that I am allowed to eat, and BINGO! I shall buy some tomorrow...er..today! And they have lots of different flavors now too. I never wore a mesh hat, but I remember them well. I DID, however, wear a Mennonite covering on my head. You DO look like you are headed to church!! Kisses right back attcha!

Hahahahaha! You are so clever! There’s never any telling which direction your mind will go! I did wear hats to church! But mostly after I had butchered my hair. I don’t remember why I didn’t get professional cuts back then. But when I colored my hair wrong, or gave myself a bad perm, or an awful butcher cut, I would wear my vintage hats until it grew out. No I wear hats on lazy days when I don’t want to fix my hair or on bad hair days when I need a cut!

I was going to buy the mini babybel but thought they were too expensive. Remember, I'm seriously cheap.
That does make a cute hat and you look simply divine. The only time I wore any fancy hats was at Easter

I remember those hats with net from the 50's. I will have to try that cheese! Have a great Monday.

As you know, I've been looking for sources of protein too. For me, these will be great - too much sodium for John though. I remember mama having a few of these net hats. I have always loved them. It's fun to see them again here on your blog after all these years. Love your photo edit!!! Really raining hard here.

Good morning, I love the babybel cheese too. I was never a hat person. When I was in Catholic grade school we used to have to wear brown beanies on our heads to church. Happy Monday, enjoy your day!

We have both the blue low salt and the red in out fridge at most times. I do not like the taste the horrible non beeswax lea ves as this prduct has changed since the 80’s. I never owned a net hat but I recall my mom having one.you look fine with no make up. I never use any. Do I look okay?

My mom wore those net hats to church, plus long white gloves. I am amazed that they are still sold! I wore hats only on Easter, and then I did that for only a couple of years.

I've never had that kind of cheese!

Cute! Someone needs to share this post with the marketing folks at Babybel ... I bet they'd love it! I used to buy that real regular; not sure why it fell off my list.

Never a net, but ya. My dad went through a phase where he expected my mother and I to wear hats to church every Sunday. How I hated looking like a giant walking nose!

Go figure, years later I joined the Red Hat Society (for about a week) and fell in love with big red bonnets!

Your mesh hat looks cute on you. The only time I ever wore a hat was to a cousin’s wedding many years ago. It wasn’t as fancy as these but I liked my straw sun hat ;)

My kids love Baby Bel - every Halloween they HAVE to trick or treat at the local cheese shop because that's what's given out.
Funny enough, I don't care for the taste - but yeah, I can totally see the net hat from the bag.
