What Flordians See as Fall Color

My pet blog for dog lovers,  Fourpawsetc has new pics

I saw the sunlight shining throuh this flower and struggle to grab it with my camera. It just could not get the beauty.
I decided to take the photos from different angles, and see what happened. and here you go. As you scroll see if you can guess what the white is in the bottom left BEFORE you get to the Answer at bottom

If you are looking Carefully, you will see the foot and that should tell you it is my gown. More early AM hunting of fall color. (yes we have privacy fence)

  6. I think you did an excellent job of capturing the sunlight through petals!
Our fall color is almost gone or turned to brown. The sun is shining but it's cold outside. Snow is in tomorrow's forecast. It's a little early, even for our neck of the woods. While in Roanoke, I thought the weather was perfect--sunny and in the low 60s. My Florida sister was shivering the whole time. She's gotten acclimated to the weather of central Florida.

Time to unpack the groceries and pull out my winter frocks!

    Best,
    Bonnie

  7. I did not guess it until the next to the last photo when I could see your feet. I figured it was a cloth laying on the ground or something. Anyway, keep pursuing your Florida Fall Colors. I can't wait until January and you're pursuing the Florida Winter colors. I guess your white gown will have to do again.

  11. Beautiful photos, Sandra.... Is that a Hibiscus??? Looks like it... That's one thing about being in Florida... Flowers bloom year round... You are lucky... We are preparing for a HUGE cold front this weekend. Guess we'll say Bye to our beautiful Roses for 2010... Sigh!!!!! I will miss them.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  12. Hi Sandra -

...really enjoyed this view and your angles...your guessing "twist" was fun, too.

I have done some "angle" photos as well...will post more soon...

You've given me some photo ideas.

    Thank you, Sandra, for sharing!

  13. I enjoy these and think the lighting is really nice filtering through! I have one hibiscus (don't ask why)..it was growing in our property when we bought it- wild because nothing was touched. Anyway..it has some mottled leaves but I can never seem to get a good photo of it? Same color too.
