I have decided over the next couple of weeks to share the many wonderful things I snap every single day in my own back yard. It is a rare day that I don't find something wonderful.
At first glance this seed pod on our dwarf poinciana was not all that attractive....

Below is a seed pod from last year when they first started, it was pretty but I like the dried ones that are popping out the seed onto the ground. Our tree came from one of these seeds we snagged off a neighbors bush.
And before the pods come, below is what the flowers look like, this one is from last year, the pods are popping which means in a month or so we will have a bush full of flowers like this one.
I have found I can feed my addiction to digtial without ever leaving the back yard.
Do you hunt in your own yard or house? I know some of you do. Lets see what you find without leaving home.

ReplyDeleteI'm in my yard constantly these days it seems (when I'm not on the computer.. ha)---and am checking all of our flowers/buds/blooms, etc. I get so excited when I see a new bud opening!!!!!! BUT--I don't take pictures until we actually get a flower... Guess I need some lessons from the Madsnapper!!!!! ha

This is what I've been wanting you do do, I can't wait. Your yard and surrounding area is like a tropical paradise to me, I have to travel miles and miles to see things like this.

ReplyDeleteSince I don't go much of anywhere other than work I do hunt the house and yard for things to take pictures of. Sometimes it's tough finding anything but if I really use my imagination I'm bound to come up with something
You know we have the same dwarf and there is an area in my yard it hangs and curls in the sun (love it)..situated next to wild sunflowers. Your right..it is yard art and your captures are that!!
