All The World'sa Stage

Snap! those Curly cues twirled around the dead leaf on the Passion vine, (otherwise known as  incubator for our Gulf Fritillary butterflies)
" Bob! We have caterpillars"  New butterflies are on the way....

 Shakespeare's All The World's a Stage, popped in my head because the day before I heard it on NPR Radio.
the egg entered the stage of life a few weeks ago and now the  caterpillar has entered the stage and will soon become a butterfly and from their it is a short act and the butterfly exits the stage of life.

 All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,

 At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurses arms

 For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes

And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,

 Life is short, Love your loved ones while you can. Live, Laugh, Love

Female Gulf Fritillary

  2. Super macro shots of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Very apt text and lesson to go with it.

  3. I love those tendrils and the caterpillar is kind of cute. But my very favorite is your last photo, that is gorgeous.

    The caterpillars and butterflies fit nicely into this Shakespeare passage. If I remember right that is a monologue from the play As You Like It.

  19. I love your photos as usual - you can sure see things better through your lens then even by looking at them through naked eye.

    Are we on stage too then?

  22. Sandra, how fitting and how true. Each day is filled with the performance of living our daily lives. The fritillary barer pillar is as colorful as the butterfly it turns into.
