Pre-Historic Bone?

Look, Mommy, I found a pre-historic bone!

Daddy says, Jake you are so adorable! (no, he does not know i posted this)
 This is a good bone!

MY bone!  note that sweet little round paw holding it

Just a hisbiscus root daddy jerked out of the ground (notice the sweet little round paw?)

YUM! I love HIBISCUS roots...

  3. I wont tell him you posted that sweet pic, he has to keep up his image but we know he is a softy.

That does look like a bone and what a good dental pick. I hope he will share with Baby.

Good to see you are up and about some!!

  4. I'd have believed the prehistoric bone story. :)

  5. It's a root!!! Not a piece of the bark of a tree. Gooood!

Thinking it came from a tree limb, was a little scary. But I'm not a doggie person, so I don't know.

Btw, we never could have a doggie, because our daughter is very allergic. But one son has beautiful and well loved black labs. Ruby and Summer. Whom we love to pieces. :-)

  11. I didn't know a 'pre-historic bone' could bring such happiness. Has Bob forgiven you for posting the picture?

  16. a hibiscus root doesn't sound nearly as tantalizing as a prehistoric bone. I'll tell Duke that Jake is gnawing on a tyrannosaurus rex bone

  17. Hi Sandra, Cute post... I'm sure that 'bone' is from a prehistoric hibiscus for sure.... ha ha

Your hubby is so TANNED... Does he worry about skin cancer? I used to love to lay in the sun and did it for years and years... Then--all of the cancer fears hit and I don't do it very much anymore...

    Hope you are feeling better.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  18. Hey Sandra! I'm trying to visit with everyone. Still don't have anything new to post on my blog. Will try to get out in the yard tomorrow to see if I can find something! I drove around the neighborhood for a few minutes this evening; that felt so good to be mobile again!

  19. So the prehistoric bone is from a prehistoric root monster? Jake is so cute with the "bone", I do love the way that paw is holding on.
