Above the surgeon and his assistant. SHE WAS IN PANTS!!!! and they proceeded to make the soldiers howl with their ministrations to them. see below.

ReplyDeleteI know the surgeons did their best, but with the equipment available (and the knowledge) at that time there wasn't much they could do. The most common way of treating wounds like your favorite got was amputation.

That is a big percentage...also a big percentage of slaves.
ReplyDeleteNot only am I loving these shots but all the history facts as well. I know I learned all this way back when but that was far too long ago to remember :) They sure did make this reenactment look real
