While purchasing pool supplies at Home Depot, I spied moss rose, I bought 2, one had one orange and on yellow flower on it, the other had one pink. Brought them home and when they started blooming, I have 2 shades of orange, 2 shades of pink, white and yellow in one pot, and yellow and 2 shades of pink in the other pot.
I said to Bob, all these colors don't GO together.
Let the pondering begin.... I mean who decides? who decided?
I have always heard orange/pink/yellow do not go together, but look at the above photo! Who is it that decides/decided what color goes with what color or NOT?

I love my multi colored garden basket of moss roses... when the sun hits them at 10 am they burst into blooms and the hotter the sun the pretty they get. And I stare at them from my kitchen all day.
Every now and then, NOT OFTEN, I go out and
Croon, OH LOOK, a DOUBLE BLOOM.... Snap!
Snap!
And Snap Again!
These flowers are beautiful, I wish we had some this beautiful, And they do go together because God made them to. Susan is always so good and yesterday was one of her best with the flicker.

Aren't they just adorable flowers? We have a desert rose here that kind of resemble those.

Whoever said yellow, orange and pink don't go together didn't live in the 60s. :)) Moss roses are just wonderful, I think.

I love Moss Rose! Yours are so colorful and beautiful! I love seeing flowers from my kitchen window! I just saw some at the super walmart the other day, I was in a hurry, but I will be going back to get some. It's funny that you are talking about colors going together. This is the first year that I mixed pinks, purples and reds together in my front yard flower bed. :) I'll have to take pics and post them one day. I Love TexWisGirl's comment and I completely agree!

ReplyDeleteThere are some things --when thinking of clothes--that I still wouldn't put together (even though some people do these days)... I do not like seeing a man in a navy coat and black pants or vice versa. I also do not like seeing a man with dress pants on and WHITE socks... My picky list goes on and on---but I'm not as worried about those things as I used to be.

ReplyDeleteI like all these colors together, the orange matches the orange center of the pink. Moss roses are so pretty I need to find some for my patio. Mama Nature doesn't play by the rules as the Flicker's stripes and polka dots illustrate. Who says they don't go together?

ReplyDeleteI agree with Dawn Treader. I bought one of those for a potted plant arrangement. Something with shades of all the same color of salmon. I was surprised when the next bloom that came up was yellow! Oh well, now I have a salmon/yellow mix going on.
