Shadow Shot in black and white


While starting at the ferns and the bucket garden, my Snappy Mind thought, put the Nikon point and shoot on black and white and see what happens in the bright noon day sun. So I DID!


Our pineapple is growing up fast.






 Above is where hubby ripped creeper off the fence and the little thingys left behind, below is YET ANOTHER Moss Rose..... sorry about that, but it is Black and White and a little different.

    That first one looks like a Zebra! That would be cool to grow pineapples...we just manage bind weed! Deccy x

    B/W is so much fun to shoot. The absence of color draws the eye to all the details that are usually missed. I really like the long shot of the pineapple. It has an amazing variety of shadows.

    There are so many patterns in nature and they are accentuated in black and white. Your pineapple is a beauty.

    Seems like there are so many more things we can see with the black and white pictures....or maybe they are just spooky illusions???HAHAHA! I love these pictures and I love seeing the pineapple. We have got to start a pineapple plant here....probably would not grow here in the north even if I brought it in in the winter. Would be fun, though. Did you just plant the pineapple top after you cut it off? What are some of the other plants your hubby is testing out in the buckets? Anyways, B and W is very cool! Good job, Sandra!

    As much as I love color I do love the black and whites too. Everything looks so much more dramatic in black and white.

    Much as I love coloured pictures,there is a dramatic beauty to the black and white. The ferns,especially,look like something one would see in an art gallery.

    WOW...B&W is amazing isn't it? You were right on with your thinking...."see what happens" ...and way cool on the Pineapple....I need to be a bit more creative and get out there and play in the dirt....I may could experience the miracle of Pineapple growth! :0) ENJOYED your shots today

    This is a feast for the eyes and a continual surprise! The first picture...if I didn't know you, I wouldn't know what it was. It looks like some large conceptual artwork. The first pineapple picture I just love, who would have thought that would be fab in black and white? And the picture with the little leaves making a shadow on the bigger ones!!!!

    Really like your black and white photos.
    They give a different character to the composition.
    I like the "little thingies" left where the creeper was.
    Your banner is spectacular.
    Banana splits are one of my favorite vices.

    I Love your first pic! I thought it was a zebra when I saw it on my blog.
    All of these look so good in black and white! The pineapple is so cool! An old neighbor of mine had about six growing. Very creative Sandra!
