Village Cat

We watched the resident cat drinking rain water, then follow her down the red  brick road...

to the Boat works, down around the side

and inside, where resident cat proceeded to wander and jump from place to place.

The kitty pics are not as clear as I wanted, it was dark and raining, and I had the short lens on, not the long zoom.... there, that's all my excuses.... for not so clear cat pics

and i leave you with a quote I saw today on Facebook.

THE THING ABOUT SMART PEOPLE IS THAT THEY SEEM LIKE CRAZY PEOPLE TO DUMB PEOPLE.
it is rare for me to post something that is not mine, but  I just love this. Thank you Teresa Williams

  1. What were you doing wandering around a boat works in the rain and dark??? And you must be very quick to follow an alley cat, you could have slipped in the rain!!! The poor cat looks in bad condition.

  3. Kitty seems to know her way around the place pretty well, looks like a good tour guide to me.

That brick pathway is so neat but I'm thinking it took a while to build.

    Love that quote!

  4. The shots look okay to me except I'm not fussed on cats, especially feral ones because they kill off our native animals. They are a big problem here.
Love the funny pic and joke.

Love the shot of the red brick pathway and the cat looks like he could use a good meal or two

  9. I want that cat! And that red brickway. I feel so bad for these poor little homeless cats that are way too high in population. Spay and Neuter. But it's only a start. The day looked wonderful! I just love rainy days. In Ohio I would go out on the porch and just watch it all day.

  13. Good pictures of all the "old things" from the past. Cute kitty cat. Love the pictures of the babies. So cute!!! No truer words were ever spoken. Little did we know when we were young that it would turn out that way.

  18. I'm guessing that the cat is the official tour guide who just wants to make sure you see everything. I like the image and caption of the two babies. Have a great weekend.

  20. Lots of cats on the blogs this morning, this one looks just like my Samantha, a cat that lived with me for many years. Since I don't switch lenses or do anything much with my camera, my shots often are unclear. Particularly birds, they are so darned difficult to catch. This kitty is looking really good though.

  21. That kitty looks like he or she could use a few good meals.:) The kitty seemed to be a good tour guide. I really like the red brick walkway. We have a brick patio in the backyard. I just love the quote!

  22. There's hope for us then. Most people think both of us are a little odd.
I like to do my own thing and not follow the crowd but sometimes it makes you seem eccentric. lol

Regarding the wheat thing, I can't believe its is so, but I have been testing it and everytime I add wheat I feel ill and lethargic, but if all the cakes turn out okay with the special flour I won't mind so much going without other things. lol

  24. Talk about delight! I was happy to see you had looked up an old Samson story. I'm beginning to feel like I should make a book or something organized for his stories. Any thoughts?
