Our Schefflera Tree got so tall it is in the top of the pine tree. this is the red bloom it gets once a year. I had to zoom up about 30 feet to get it. so the details of the tiny red flowers can't be seen. The below is the same photo that I monkeyed around with in Photoshop Elements 10.
Yes, Schefflera grow indoor and outdoor and just about any where at all, but if you plant them in Florida they make monster trees unless you keep them trimmed.

I am beginning to wonder if everything in FL grows as tall as a skyscraper. Those really are pretty. Your whole yard (and the sky) must be filled with colorful blooms.

Wow, I had no idea those plants would grow so tall. We've had several through the years and I love them. Maybe I need to purchase one now--for a modest show inside!!

ReplyDeleteWe call them umbrella trees, not sure why, maybe because the flower stems radiate out like umbrella ribs. They can get very big here too and the roots can damage drains and water pipes.
