I am 68 years old today and have 6 years/reasons to Celebrate...
My mother, her sister and their mother died just before they turned 63 at age 62.
The year I turned 63 was a big celebration because I made it to 63 and today have now made it to 68

I have outlived my sister who died at 63 and probably will outlive my brothers. I'm in better emotional and mental health than they are. But that's okay because I still have so MANY things to visit and see - if the money holds out - before I die. I want to see everything. Can't wait for the 14th because I'm going to Oregon and stay on the Oregon Coast for a week. :) I can't believe I fell into that a couple of weeks ago.

i was looking in the mirror the other day and bemoaning some of the changes age is making to my body at 49. then i remembered my sister died at age 47, before she could really start to age, and i realized aging is a privilege.
