Robinson Preserve -Tidal Basin

Four views of the tidal basin from the top of the tower.

A tidal basin is land that was not covered by the tides, but is man made to accept the tides. Robinson preserve was a 487 acre farm left to the state by the owner, with instructions in his will that it would  be  turned into a tidal basin to preserve for the Eco system and to create a bird preserve.

NO, I did NOT look straight down, I shot the below straight down by standing back and shooting blind.

Below are shots of the tidal basin from the ground. For more info and a slide show on the Tidal Basin CLICK HERE

  22. Okay, what is the stuff in the seventh shot...the red and green stuff? It is beautiful, whatever it is.

When I was a kid, I would have wanted to be playing there barefoot...and so would my girls.

  29. You actually have some fall colors in FL... That is SUPER... Love seeing the Tidal Basin. Since I'm not afraid of heights, I'd be looking down BIGTIME at the basin below. Did you have to climb up in the tower? I'd love it... Thanks for sharing.
