“Build a little fence of trust around today; Fill the space with loving deeds, And therein stay. Look not through the sheltering bars Upon tomorrow; God will help thee bear what comes of joy and sorrow.”
Mary F. Butts quote
the path below is in Rye Wilderness Park, about 10 miles from our home. The fence was along side the path.
Sandra, I truly enjoyed the quote from Mary F. Butts. I would love to walk that path right now. Very nice post.
ReplyDeleteI love these curvy path edges, and that reddish looking part dead bush on the other side. And I never knew there was more to that poem, I didn't know that part!
ReplyDeleteThat path sure is inviting. Does the fence keep out alligators hee hee.
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Nice park. Lots of Golden woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteLovley... Peaceful...
ReplyDeleteAnd your new blog look. :-)
Beautiful place and quote. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love old fences and fence posts and love these pictures. What a nice place that must be to visit. Hugs
ReplyDeleteFences to keep things in, fences to keep things out. What would we do without fences. Great shots, and have a super weekend!!
ReplyDeleteLook at all that vegetation, you truly live in a different world from mine. I love fences, they can be so special, and with that quote, even more so.
ReplyDeletethe quote touched me this morning. :)
ReplyDeleteyou know i love that barbed wire fence...
I love that quote and the peaceful pathway and wire fence.
ReplyDeleteMs. Sandra my mom says she'd love to take a leisurely walk on that path with Mad Snapper. No telling what trouble you two could get into snapping like turtles.
ReplyDeleteHugs madi
I really like that quote, as well as your photos of the fence. I have some not-so-happy memories of building (and repairing) barbed-wire fences when I was growing up on a farm.
ReplyDeleteI would love to take my camera for a walk along that path. I am sure we would have a good time. Oh,and you can come too. :)
ReplyDeletethe quote is great, as are all of your shots of the fence.

I like the quote, Sandra!
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to walk that path! (but only in daylight. I think that once dusk comes, it would feel pretty spooky!) :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely quotation.
what a great quote that is. Wonderful fences and I seriously want to follow the path in that last picture
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite quotes. It goes perfect with your fence photo.I would love to follow that path....
ReplyDeleteLove the quote...so true!
ReplyDeleteYour verse/quote today reminds me of the Bible verse about building a hedge of thorns around someone for protection.
ReplyDeleteI really like that rustic looking fence. It fits in well with the area. That is the kind of path I love to follow.
ReplyDeleteThe beginning of a fun journey
