I am on my 4th set of these sheets, same color, same dual king bed... Saturday AM I went from corner to corner to corner and found the white tags in the 4th corner.
Wait! Are you asking Why? Why was she looking for the white tags?
The answer is, if I put the white tag on my side corner of the bed, the fitted sheet FITS... the size of a King is only a few short inches difference and will not fit the bed unless it is exactly RIGHT....
Suddenly, a
Senior Moment 1,000,001.. Duhhhh
and I started laughing like an idiot...
I
I learned to look for the tag when we bought our first King bed in 1986 when they were solids, and here I am still doing the same thing over and over....and did not even think about the stripes

You are soooo funny - and I love the red sheets!!
ReplyDeleteCute senior moment and moment of clarity.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is I am glad I am not alone!
ReplyDeleteThis seems like something that would happen to me!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved your senior moment! Thanks for my morning laughter! Now I have sheets to change lol!
ReplyDeleteOh red sheets. Your still thinking sexy I see. Especially these sheets. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteOh well when I worked at the nursing home. One question I was asked. Do seniors lose their appetite in things that gives them pleasure. Of course we all put down no. head nurse said. What kind of answer is this. Huh,
Wrong. So your not having a senior moment but not sure if Bob thinks different about those sheets. only you two will know. Ha-ha.
Laughing at your funny blog again.
I love those sheets. So I am not having a senior moment. Thank goodness.
MOL MOL MS MOM HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SHEETS FOR THEIR QUEEN SLEEP NUMBER...IF SHE DOESN'T PUT THE TAG ON HER TOP CORNER THE WON'T FIT...HER SHEETS ARE ALL PLAIN THOUGH. WE THINK IT IS TOO FUNNY ABOUT YOU AND YOUR STRIPES
ReplyDeleteHUGS MADI AND MOM

I love how our minds work. lol! Well, now you know. (And we do too.)
ReplyDeletefitted sheets make me absolutely crazy! all they'd have to do is put a line of colored thread along top and bottom to designate the ends as such. the top sheet has that nice, neat fold-over at the top. the fitted gives me fits.
ReplyDeleteLight Bulb Moment!!!! LOL! Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
The newly acquired knowledge should make changing sheets so much easier and faster.
ReplyDeleteAw heck! You've been doing it all these years. Why quit now. And I didn't know there were any stripes in sheets. Now I have to look.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with a senior moment Sandra, we have them all the time, they are good for a laugh.

Eureka! I may have to switch to striped sheets--just not red.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Now this makes me laugh and I love those gorgeous sheets!!!
ReplyDeleteStriped sheets is a brilliant idea! Why didn't I think of it before now? I'm always wrestling with the blamed things trying to find which is the ride end to put on.
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh Sandra.
ReplyDeleteWe have a Cal King bed.
If I don't get the fitted sheet right the first time its run around that big bed again to straighten it.
I have one set with stripes like you...should have had the same brain storm. Too easy. I claim senior moments too.
LOL!!! That is too funny, Sandra! I have taught the Pres to work with the lines too!!!,...:)JP
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious! The answer was staring you in the face every day! I do things like this!! Those red sheets are pretty hot, and love the ink light.
ReplyDeleteI am sitting here tears streaming down my face!!!! Oh, Sandra, this is beyond priceless!
ReplyDeleteI always thought there was a trick to the sheets!!! I will look for the tag although ours are queen size - not king! Although we DO have a set of KING size sheets! Why? You ask? Well, when I first got Louis Dean he came with his own large matress and box springs. We were going to buy new sheets and I asked him what size they were. (I have never had anything but a full size mattress! My ex husband was small like I am!) He announced they were KING!!! When we got home and I discovered they were too big I asked LD why in the world he told me to get KING size??? His answer??? "Well, I just don't like the word 'queen!'"
ReplyDeleteHe was 69 when I married him so I guess that qualifies for a senior moment!! He just keeps on having them!!!
Oh Sandra, you crack me up! This reminds me of the foil box push in tabs that I never knew were there.
ReplyDeleteI have those sheets. :) I've never had trouble with the sheets...lucky I guess. lol
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like something I would do. I didn't even think of the stripes when I was reading.
ReplyDeleteWell at least you finally figured that one out
That is a great senior moment! Since the last few sets I've bought had stripes I had never thought about the tag. I'll remember that if I get some solid color ones.
ReplyDeleteIt's a mistake we all could have made. After all, you did it for years and years. I'll betcha I would have done the same thing. I would not think of the stripes.....well, maybe I would have. No matter anyways. Do you and hubby have red sheets? OOOLALA!
ReplyDeleteThese are great sheets, I bought the navy ones a few months back. Come to think of it, I think I looked for the tag, too! LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely red sheets
ReplyDeleteI always look for the tag too! That is really funny about the stripe. I don't have stripes so I still look for the tag.
