Yes, we got no bananas


The first two hands of bananas were fine, then each of those little ridges, should have been a hand of  bananas.. it stopped making bananas, then a few days ago, the pod started opening and making the flowers that would make the bananas. we have never seen it do this before. Woo Hoo we may yet have fruit....so we thought....

The storm came, the wind blew, the rain fell and so did the banana tree, broke half in to... Bye Bye Bananas.

  10. So sorry to hear your banana plantation is kaput! Will you plant again? Where does one purchase a banana plant in the U.S. or does Bob start them from seed? Do they have seeds? Oh dear!

  15. Oh NO!!!! Has this ever happened before? It has withstood so many things for years...maybe it was because it is getting old? Can you buy the small trees at a garden center? Your pictures really look like something from outer space.

  21. It broke in two? You have to be kidding me!!!!!!What a darn old shame. Oh, I bet you two were having a fit! I would have been! Any hope to save the tree? I am really sorry about this. I know how you liked that tree and the bananas!!!!!

  22. OH NO!!!! Not the banana tree. Mother nature has not been kind to the trees in your yard lately has she. So is the tree dead now or is there a chance it will survive?
