Good Fence Thursday - Winter Residents

Comes November in the North and the leaves start turning gold.
The next thing you know it is turning really cold.
Leaves start to falling
and kids start snowballing.

And most of the cold retirees move to Florida's Winter Paradise for a few months.
which is the reason our winter population swells almost double from November through April.

  6. Yes, a very little fall color. LOL Nice shots, and I love that first fence, put up by introverts, obviously. Anyway, January-March are the months I'd like to escape to Florida.

  15. If I lived up north in all that snow, I'd be headed for warmer weather, too. I just wish it would stay spring or summer year round.,

  17. Love your fences and those beautiful trees and other green gems! Your rhyme was cute and apropos...we get snow birds here in AZ too. That's one big thing we have in common with Florida. I'd be one if I could. :-) Summers here are just too brutal for me.

  18. DOUBLE!? Holy Cow!! I knew it was a lot, but not this high! I WANT this palm tree! It is awesome! None grow here, we have to go to a botanical garden to see them. And I DO go there to see them. Now if Bob would just pull it up from the roots, I will pay for postage. I'll be waiting for a brown truck!

  19. I love, love, love this post! It truly shows off your fabulous, awesome creative mind. I should join up next Thursday, I have some fence pictures of my own, not as creative as these, but still, different: barbed wire and stuff.

  24. Love your "little fall color." Yes, we'll be in your fair state in January, but we're staying in the north...Apalachicola. We do love it there.

  25. I love the look of your fall and winter. I'm really dreading the colder weather coming especially since I keep hearing how bitterly cold it's supposed to be this year.
I wish I could move to Florida for the winter

  27. Well Happy Fall, anyways! I have been to Florida twice and both times it was sweltering hot, so I haven't seen the moderate temps that people rave about. I will have to come in the winter!

  28. Oh yes, the snowbirds come down and everything gets crowded! Enjoyed the fences and the enjoyed the trees. Love the Norfolk Pine tree!

  29. Love your spritz of Fall color.
My Grandparents spent every winter in Largo, Florida. As they got older the winters in Minneapolis were more than they could handle.
That's one reason my parents never returned to Minnesota after the war. California just suited them fine. No snow to shovel.
    Love your pictures Sandra.

  30. I wouldn't mind spending winter in paradise. I love that tree in the 5th photo. Is it a palm of some sort? So many trunks (or whatever the term on those would be).
Ha! Love your "fall color." It does look like fall!

  32. Beautiful pictures sweet Sandra. I love the fence in that first picture and would love one like it around my backyard. I have a cousin who lives in Michigan in the spring and summer and in Florida in the fall and winter. They have had a home in each place for over 60 years. Hugs
