  9. The azaleas are a real tonic to see on a rather grey day in the U.K. I like the quote too. Have a good day, Sandra. It's good to be back blogging and meeting up with my blog friends.

  11. Heavenly!

That is what surprised me so much in Savannah...the plants were so huge! Crepe Myrtles were trees.

  12. Sandra, your azalea blooms are awesome. These flowers (exotics in South Africa) always remind me of my childhood in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Azaleas grow easily in that province, and we always had an Azalea festival during September. Here in the Free State province, you'd struggle to grow these flowers. Thanks for sharing. Jo

  16. The largest azalea garden in Texas is right here in East Texas in Nacogdoches. The town even hosts an azalea festival and garden groups are bussed in from all over the state and beyond to see them. They should be popping up here pretty soon and I'm sure I'll have some photos because I always do. Azaleas blooms don't last very long and the buses are very nondescript when they're not in bloom. It's a long wait for a burst of quick beauty.

  25. These are gorgeous!

Just FYI, we had snow today...snowed and flurried most of the day. Sometimes really hard, sometimes just a few flakes. At one time frozen little pellets. But it has been too warm for it to stick.
