I am still alive report

Since I am home most of the time, I find myself waiting each day to see what the morning sun will point out what I need to SEE to photograph.

Sorry I am still missing most of your posts, my Doctor appt is this Thursday.. Will let you know what he says about this pain that is crippling me. I attended the funeral of my friend Rich yesterday and with 2 aspirin, i got through the morning very well.

Funny thing happened... If you have known me for a while, you know I am a pessimist and also the queen of what if's.  As I slid my black leather sandals on for the funeral, I thought " you better put extra shoes in the car, these have been stored in a shoe box for years, about 9 years and the strap might break"

I walked down the hall to the rest room and on the way back IT DID BREAK and I DID NOT take extra shoes... needless to say the next 2 hours the sound of flapping sandal filled the air....

Realist are what you are!
Good that you managed your friend's funeral, broken sandal or not. I haven't been to all that many but somehow it does seem important to say that last goodbye.

MS....I am looking so forward(probably not as much as you) to you seeing the doctor so that you can get back your snappiness!
LOLOLOL on the strap that is called dry rot...from lack of skin oil to keep it in soft. Not long ago I was going through my closet to purge, merge or discard. I was a shamed of the 'dust' I found on the shoulders of all my work clothes. Not only have I not worn them in 4.5 years....I must not have even shuffled them around any.

We have new windows being installed on Wednesday. Today I'm taking down curtains/valences to wash, washing window frames today. I wont take down blinds since the frames are not being replaced just the windows and sashes. You will get a kick out of what Madi will be doing on my Wed. post.

Bev calls those God Voices and you're supposed to listen.

Pray the doctor visit goes well--
and I too get those 'senses or little voices' of warning--and I am learning to be more careful in listening and doing them--yet I still can fail at times--so better listening to us both in the future--

Praying that you doctor will be able to help you. Love your photo and the way the light is hitting it. Glad that the aspirin helped you through Rich's service. ((HUGS)) Oh my, sorry about that strap breaking!!! The reason I have trouble packing for trip's is because I pack for every possible scenario that could happen. That's what I'm supposed to be doing today....well actually I should have done it yesterday!

I sure do hope that doctor can help you out. I'll be looking forward to hearing how that goes.
The incident with the sandal sounds like something that would happen to me.

I had no idea you were a pessimist, I see you as someone who takes care of whatever needs to be done. I so hope you will be better soon. Too bad you have to wait until Thursday. Take care.

I was just thinking last night that your appt is this coming week...but I was going to look up the date of it. I sure hope they can help you! Have you ever tried a chiropractor?

I hope the doctor's appointment helps in some way so that you feel better soon. I'm glad that you got through Rich's funeral with the help of painkillers as I know it was important to you to get there.

Hope you get relief soon! So sorry about the loss of your friend, but glad you were able to attend the funeral. The sandal story reminds me of the epitaph on the hypochrondriac's gravestone: See? Told you I was sick! Lol. Sounds like your inner voice was right about those sandals!! Hope you have a better day today, Sandra.

I'm so glad you were able to attend Rich's funeral! I know how much your friendship with him meant to you.

Are you psychic - I'm talking about the sandal! Very strange!

I'm glad you were able to attend Rich's funeral even with the flapping strap and pain.
Really hoping the Doctor will give you some good answers on Thursday.
I certainly haven't written you off.
Get well and continue SNAPPING.

Sorry to read about the continuing pain, Sandra, and like your other blog friends will keep you in our thoughts and prayers for relief very soon. As far as being a pessimist and having the sandal strap break after thinking about bringing extra shoes that was just a coincidence at least in my opinion.

Oh ya, always listen to that inner voice! LOL.

Sorry to hear about the continuing pain. As for the broken sandal strap, I bet Rich would have had a good laugh about it. Murphy's Law :) Continued healing my friend.

I never wear the right shoes to graveyard services. I'm hoping your doc can get you to a more comfortable place with the pain. I can't imagine how you tolerate it..I am big wimp when I hurt for a long time.

I wouldn't have taken you for a pessimist, either. Your colorful blog and snappy pics and posts are anything but. Praying for wisdom for your doctor and healing for you.
