Battery Candles


 candles powered by batteries and I do NOT LIKE THEM AT ALL.... 
they will not burn me or set the house on fire,
but they will fill the landfill with batteries and plastic.. I will not buy them again.
I love the real candles, the holders are as old as I am and the wax disapears and
I am All About The Flickering Flames.

    I like real candles - but I use these because they are safer - and they are pretty in some things! lol

    I see a certain value in the flameless candles,but I do agree,there is nothing better than that flickering flame of a real candle.

    I'm not fond of the battery ones either. I have stopped burning candles though as I'm afraid the cats will knock one off when I am not looking. I really love flickering flames in candles/fireplaces.

    I use a few of them but the ones I have flicker. Also I am all about recycling them. Unfortunately most people don't recycle which saddens me. Cans, plastic bottles, etc. etc. etc. Actually where my dad lives in Florida they do not recycle at all. I take his things over to my niece who does recycle.

    There are sure lots of them every where and even some are scented...your photos are very pretty real or not.

    The battery operated ones are safer especially with kids around but there is no replacing a real candle. Maybe instead of making a safer candle they should come up with better behaved children who know how to keep their hands off of things they shouldn't touch....lol

    From what I know of your fascination with real fire, I could have guessed that :) I have a couple of battery candles (and of course my electric ones in the windows). I do like them from safety aspect, because I can leave them burning without worry while I go to and fro etc. Or if I'm tired and might fall asleep on the sofa... I light real candles at well but then I have to be more careful (and keep awake!)

    I've never used the battery candles, but have seen projects where they would be nice. You make a good point about them not being reusable, so I'll leave them at the store. I prefer a real flicker, too.
