The flower is edible
Dried hibiscus is considered a delicacy in Mexico.
Many countries use it to make teas
 Hibiscus tea contains vitamin C and other minerals.
It is a diuretic.
The flower can be used to make a natural dye or food colouring.
The Hibiscus cannabinus variety is commonly used in paper making.
Hibiscus is the national flower for South Korea and Malaysia.
The leaves and the flowers can be into a paste and used as a natural shampoo.

  4. It's such a pretty flower and has so many uses. I knew about the tea but not the others. The one that caught my eye was that it's used in paper making.

  17. I am quite certain that I've never seen hibiscus blooms before I started reading your blog! They are gorgeous. I love their advice!

    I just planted a few veggie seeds and now it is SNOWING! That's okay. It'll be good moisture for the seeds.

  18. Great advice from the beautiful hibiscus. I love the color of this one. I had a hibiscus years ago but it has been gone so long I don't remember what happened to it. Probably an ice storm or tornado. Hugs
