Flag Day, June 14, 2019

For 242 years our flag has flown over the USA!

Today we Celebrate Flag Day. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.

On the Punny side... What did King George think of the Colony's? He thought they were revolting! heh heh heh..

All photos today are one flag, that flies each day at a neighbors home. Our neighborhood has may flag flying

  1. I always love the look of the flag against a blue sky. None of the houses right around me have flags out but I think a couple up the street do.

  5. A perfect post for flag day, which I did not even know about! Maybe it will be on the news. I like what you did to the embossed background in the first picture. There are flags flying around here most of the time, so that never tips me off!

  8. Prettiest flag in the whole wide world!
Sad that Tom hasn't made time yet to re-mounted ours. Last week's storms broke the mount right off the side of the roof.

  9. We proudly fly our flag every day of the year...except when it's raining or so windy that it would harm it.

Love your photos of the breezes waving it...and the pun is terrific.

  10. Beautiful flag in the wind. The King George pun is too funny. I am homesick for Sweden right now, but still so very happy to be an American. Only in June do I miss Sweden, I mean really miss it. It's nature mainly, childhood, memories, and such. But I know I'm in the right place for me here. And I love our flag.

  11. I understand King George the 3rd real didn't want much to do with the American Colonies. But his Prime Minster it was either Wentworth and or and Pitt. The royals back then was horrible inbreed and it must cause all sort of issues.
    Coffee is on
