owie! owie!

What myhand looked like after Big Boy jumped on my arm....

KIDDING!!! I bit into a big fat juicy Cherry and this is what it looked like...

When I am walking, THINGS just POP in my head. I started talking them into Samsung Notes on cell phone. I copied and pasted from notes to blog and woo hoo. More easy blog fodder.

Random thought while walking or in this case coming in from walking

After my 45-minute walk I stumbled into the house with sweat running down my face from walking in all the humidity and my immediate thought was how in the world did those women wearing those long dresses and bonnets walk behind a wagon in a wagon train and I wonder what they must have smelled like when they did.

Which direction???

do you know the streets you drive on?
If you are out walking and you fell down and you had to call for help would you say I'm on 18th Avenue and 18th Avenue Drive West
or would you say to your husband on the other end of the phone I'm in front of the house where the pitbulls lived.
I'm in front of the two-story house I'm in front of the house where the darn dog lived
Just come to the 2 story house that is behind our house!
What if you were down and wanted to say help, I've fallen and I can't get up and you called 911 and they asked what is your address?
I would say I am on 17th ave drive west and the house I can see says 3801.

Bob would say, go to my home address, walk out the driveway and turn left and then left again.
at the 4 way stop, turn left again..
or maybe he would say
You know the road that goes to Publix? I am on that road and close to the one that goes by the school.
Got it?
He can find and address if you give it to him, and if you take him someplace ONE time he can find it again 5 years later. He can't tell you how to get there, but he can go like a homing pigeon.
I need and address.
When he tells me something he saw, he says, what is the street we take to the hospital. I say 21st Ave. Right.
or the road to the doctor. I don't know why or where I am going with this.
Closing with Just Sayin
as for the goofy photos, I had to try out the cell to see if it takes NOOK and Glass and Lights photos
Just so I know

Our front yard

looking at our house through the fronds of the Staghorn that hangs in the tree. I see this each morning as I come home from my walk.

See that tiny little Bush above and the top picture. If I change the perspective, it changes the way the bush looks completely
The same bush ,the same day , the same time! All I did was move the photographer

Eye Problems

For the past 10 days, I have had 4 episodes of blurring of my eyes. Suddenly, it would be like a shutter clicked, extreme blur, as in hard to walk blur, about 20 seconds. Not the kind where tired eyes need to be blinked to moisturize.
You know when you have a refraction done, to get prescription for new glasses,

Is one better, or 2? Eye is clear, then you can't see, then clear.
Walking Big Boy, this happened, extreme  blur, I stood still, shutter clicked and I could see.
Scared me to death.

the eye specialist fit me in the next day, at 4:50,
the last appt of the day.
I was a nervous nelly and after looking up What Causes This On Internet, I freaked out a little,
 all diseases were DEADLY...

It was strange waiting, 3 staff and ME, all wearing Mask, my 5 minute wait gave me time to prepare for my death or blindness or both.

The little Boy Doctor that came in listened to my tale, looked with not  one but THREE bright lights, mumbling dictation to the assistance.
He sat back and said
YOUR EYES ARE FINE. Really healthy.
You are having Eye Migraines without the pain!
WHAT??
He explained they blur and do other things, but does no harm to the eye, and said you are lucky to get 20 seconds, most are 10 minutes to an hour. If you get one longer than an hour, call us.

He says  " usually eye migraines are caused by Stress, have you had any stress lately?

I burst out in LOUD laughter and tried not to roll on the floor.

First, I grabbed my mask and shook it, he laughed and then I said
He and the assistant were laughing and nodding.

STRESS! I have been shut in my house for 16 weeks with my 84 year old husband, what do you think?
there is more, you know I said more, then I closed with
" I am a chatty Cathy, I love to Talk, I have no one to talk to"
Hubby says my conversation is backing up and full to my eyeballs. He also said, don't you wonder what they two of them said when they went home?
I answered I wonder what they said as soon as I left the room...

I came home and researched and I have the least of the symptoms from this disease I never heard of.
Thank You Lord...that I have the pain free one...

Murphy and ME

I have NO idea what this tree is. I pass it every day.

I am a believer in Murphy's Law
If anything can go wrong, it probably will... ☆☆☆☆☆

"If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong." ~ Arthur Bloch

"If you're feeling good, don't worry. You'll get over it." ~ Yogi Berra ☆☆☆☆☆

"Every solution breeds new problems." ~ Arthur Bloch

"If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something." ~ Steven Wright

Now. don't you feel better? If we know its coming, it is not such a shock.... If you are with me on this here is where  I found these....

Wild flower overload

Nope, don't know what they are, just seeds from Dollar Tree.

HUBBY PEEVE

I say "Do you want me to go to Home Depot and get what you need for the pool, or do you want to go with me?"

Hubby says  "Whatever"

I say with a TAD of aggravation in my voice

THAT is NOT an answer!

a minute of silence, while I huff and puff into the kitchen for coffee.
I hear him say to the TV

"I will go with you, I need the stuff."

What She Sees on her phone

I had no idea I could enjoy visiting blog posts on my phone. I thought I can't see the photos well enough. Above is what I saw at Viewing Nature with Eileen, below is pinch and enlarge. Look at the details. Visit her post to see all of it.

Above is Shyla, on Romping and Rolling in the Rockies. What I saw and the enlargement.
You can visit by clicking the link.
I did get permission from both bloggers to use their photos. We should never use photos without permission.

I found I can read and comment on other blogs in less than half the time it takes on my computer.
Whoop Whoop...

Below is my phone wallpaper, you might recognize the photo of our back fence.
Also I should mention my phone is now almost 6 inches by 3 inches, the old was much smaller.
I created this post by screen shots of my phone.
Uploading the screen shots through Blogger Mobile
and later adding links and words on my PC
PHUN is what I am having.

I LOVE MY NEW PHONE, Plus am still pain free from Mouse Shoulder

No Mo TP

Charming photo of Bob's Charmin in our 1970's Gold Bathroom

During the recent  TP Crisis, Calamity, Catastrophe, call it what you may, I purchased several Packages of Toilet Paper Because it was the ONLY BRAND on the shelf..........

This past week, having used all of my favorite TP Angel Soft,( I managed to stretch 8 rolls, 3 months) I opened pkg. and placed four rolls under my bathroom sink where they live.

The first time I used it, It felt like I had taken a sheet of the paper we stuff in boxes when we wrap presents and  that paper was a hybrid
 genetically mixed with an alligator.
About half way through that first roll, I thought

OMW! how many did I buy? What is this stuff?

I ran to Bob's bathroom and his felt soft, checked the brand and it was not his favorite Northern, but The Blue Bear Stuff, called Charmin.

I then rushed to the closet now known as C-V19 storage bin, and discovered that I had ONLY FOUR more rolls of  alligator paper,
AKA
Great Value 1000.

The clue was in a gold circle that said SEPTIC SAFE.

I was so relieved I nearly passed out when I saw that the pack of 48 was Northern

2 packs of 12 were Angel Soft

and the Super Mega Rolls are Charmin...

Since my computer is right beside C-V19 closet, I am now wondering just how many rolls I have.

One says 12 Jumbo rolls = 26 regular rolls Angel Soft

6 Super Mega = 36 regular and a bigger AND taller CHARMIN

12 Mega rolls = 48 regular Northern

SOOOO
Do I have 29 rolls?
Or do I have 110 regular rolls?

NOTE I did not count the 4 rolls of Septic Safe because they are in the back of the closet waiting until I am Desperate
OR we move to a home with a septic tank....
PRE Covid-19, I never had more than an 8 pack for each bathroom.
Can someone help me figure out this problem.
If 8 rolls lasted 3 months, how long will 110 rolls last me?
No Wait! we have to KNOW were they Jumbo? Mega? Super Mega?

(toleit paper in case there is anyone the planet that doesn't know what TP is)

Ultra ULTA sound

Wed we had an appointment for an Ultrasound on Bob's left carotid, Annual visit, No Big Deal.
Been there, done that 9 times over the 3 years since his stroke and surgery in Sept 2017.

I fretted all week, thinking they would not let me go in with him, and watch # 10 ultrasound. I trust no one in the medical profession.

Surprise # 1, the office was empty, they let me sit with him and fill out the forms.
Surprise #2, when the tech called us back, it was NOT the one that did the past 9.
Surprise #3 She gave me permission to tag along and peer over her shoulder.

The tech was Tiny, VERY young, Heavy Accent and soft spoken. Bob could hear nothing she said. I could tell because she was asking him questions, he nodded his head and said Uh Huh.
I said to her, he can't hear a word you are saying, she laughed and said That is the story of my life, EVERY Day...I answered her questions, she said to him, turn you head towards me. He did nothing.
She turned his head towards her.
I piped up and said, are you doing both sides? he only gets it on the left side.
She said Yes, held the wand on his neck. Stopped, got up walked to laptop leaned in and read for a minute and said, No, it is only the left side. OH MY WORD!
What if I was not there? would she do both? would the insurance NOT pay?

The test over, she said to Bob, you can sit up now, and handed him a kleenex and said clean it off, sit up and wait there.

HE HEARD NOTHING. I knew this because he laid there cleaning his throat. Did not sit up.
I said LOUDLY you can sit up. He sat up, stood up and started to leave the room. She said NO NO, sit back down, I quickly used my Big boy dog training skills.
Big sits if we point at him and stays when I hold palm out.

I waved my hand at Bob to get his attention, Pointed at him, and held out the Stay command.
He did it without a word.  He sat, and stayed. I was hysterical, she had no idea, she was typing and not looking at him. When she finally stopped pecking around on the screen that did not look or sound like the other 9, and I sat wondering is she did the right test.
She stood up and said you can leave now. He just sat there.
I kid you not, I pointed and did the come hand signal and he did.
On the way to the car we got to laughing hysterically about him obeying the dog commands. I saw a few older people looking at us like what are they laughing about.

As we drove home, he said did that machine sound funny to you? Did the screen look okay? It did not make the same noises.
He was right. I do hope he got the correct test....... she typed with 1 finger, and it took twice as long. I wanted to say give me the wand,I can do this...

Fence On Nature Friday

The damage done to our back yard fence was done by racoons... the fence is 30 years old, just their fat body's climbing over it did the damage.
In Florida you can't keep nature out, it grows year round.
I took a few cell phone pics, created the 2 collage in the phone and popped them in
here from the phone.
Am I getting better????
The Problem is I am wearing out my new phone..... and soon may suffer from Text Claw

ITS REAL, read this

Corona - 19 and the Hurricane

My Kitchen table and counter/stove after my last shopping trip to Wal-Mart. Everything on the counter, stove and table top, came out of the bottom cabinet that has the green towel hanging on it.

Why do builders make cabinets that go from stove to wall with NO access except that tiny door?

Six water bowls from Angel Dogs
3 insulated cooler things that have not been used in 20 years, since Bob retired.

(before you ask, yes the cabinet has been cleaned a few times, in 20 years but each time Bob said, I MAY NEED THOSE plus, he said this time, they are insulated, what if we need them during a storm?)

A LID only to a pan that was burned to a crisp and tossed.
had no idea the lid was BACK in that corner.
(I am OLD, I can't see or reach back that far)
No idea the blender or coffee pot were BACK in the corner.
Coffee pot was our travel pot.. When my parents were living and we took one with us because they drank instant coffee, we don't. Also until 2005 we went on a twice a year vacation with that pot. I think 5 from 20 is 15 which makes 15 years since we last used it.

This was not Just Because

The Local Weather Man made this statement.
"It's Hurricane Season Florida.
Don't wait to stock hurricane supplies.
Don't wait until a storm is looming!
His closing statement? Remember, we have already had 3 named storms and 2 were before the season started on June 1st, this is rare..
The pandemic has emptied the shelves, stock up while you can!"

I needed that cabinet for the $174.00 I bought to ADD to the already Pandemic Stock. No room. I had to shift the junk to trash can and bedroom closet shelf!
Now I question what I did,
 Am I a hoarder?
Why did I not buy WATER?
ON NO! we have nothing to heat water...... the 3 burner grill bit the dust.
Do I need to shop again?
Am I a hoarder?
Should I be putting out in public that I may be a hoarder?
Now I fret over a pandemic up tick during a hurricane.
Will it spread the germs faster? Will it matter if we have food and wipes? Will we be to sick to care if we get blown away?
Will we be able to keep a mask on our face during a hurricane?????

Switcharoo is what I DO

Standing Station

My shoulder pain is gone
I am able to blog on.
 Switcharoo is what I do,
To keep my daily visits to all of YOU.

Switcharoo defined.
I switch from cell phone, tablet, desktop, laptop.
I switch from platform rocker, sofa, easy chair, two desk chairs.

Before, I sat in the rocker, with laptop on lap for HOURS at a time.
I sat at the desk top for HOURS at a time.
Now the new me, switches from  standing, sitting and sitting in different places.
Before I had hand/shoulder pain and headaches every day.

No pain, No headaches. I had no idea the damage I was doing.
I found I need to keep what ever I am using at eye height.
At first when I changed to the phone, I woke up with neck ache.
Looking down is not good....

I gave up edits in software, and found if I take photos with phone, i can do a 30 second collage, like the one yesterday post,  on the phone. I can either talk to phone or do what I am doing now. I am adding words via laptop in lap but only one post at a time.

The phone is much faster to comment, it types as fast as I talk, the tablet is much slower because it is OLD, not as old as ME but in Device Land it is a senior.

Sitting Rocker Station, the box brings phone/tablet up to eye level when I sit it in my lap..
Below is my retired phone and I can take photos like this and still upload on blogger mobile from the new phone.  DON'T fret, I am going to do much shorter posts and I hope to get my humor back since the pain is gone

Can't Stop The Feeling

The above is from the below Video, Justin Timberlakes Can't Stop The Feeling. For about a year it has been in my YouTube playlist for exercise.  A few weeks ago I decided to see if I could Play my Playlist on Fire TV stick on the big screen TV...      These are photos I took while dancing to the music.

Pick 3 or 4 songs, dance and jump around, MOVE to the BEAT and that is the same as walking a mile.
We are waking up to 81 feels like 91 and by 1 pm it is 92 feels like 102... I just can't walk my mile outside in humidity..  Go ahead, click on the link above and try to do what they do.... get dancing.

My shut down for 3 months, Covid-19 weight gain was 7 pounds, I have now lost 5 of those by eating protein, veggies and fruit and DANCING or Walking...

Palm Tree on nature Friday

This collage is from a prior post. Ginny asked why the palms were pink.
Below is another shot of the top of the tree.

Below is the bottom

and Behold, The Whole Tree. Shocking, isn't it... It is about 15 feet tall. The fronds are dead and need to be trimmed. look closely at the trunk and you can see where all the others were trimmed over the years.

Perfect example, of don't judge a tree by part of a picture. Or something like that.
