Seahorse from the past
UPDATE on Big Boy on Fourpawsetc Here
Seahorse Gift Shop in Palmetto Florida, was a happy place for my mother and for me when we visited my grandmother. It was there for most of my mothers life and mine. It sat at the foot of the Green bridge, which spans the Manatee River. Bradenton, where I live is on the south of the river and Palmetto is north of the river. I am the only member of our family that lives SOUTH of the river...or ever did.. The shop had free orange juice and papaya juices, sold all the treasrues found in gift shops back then. Mother bought earrings made from shells every time we visited. It was only a few blocks from my Grandmothers home. The above are vintage shots, I borrowed from the internet, owned by the Palmetto Historical Society.
A few years ago the old bridge was not big enought to contain our trafic, they tore down the shop and build a bigger, better bridge. They turned 1/2 of the old bridge into a fishing bridge. This past week Palmetto added a beautiful piece of art. Right in the same place the yellow seahorse lived my whole life. We drove Big to see the horse, but the sun did not come out and my photos were not good.
the below are still shots snipped from the Video which is below and can be viewed on Youtube.
A short video by the City of Palmetto. HERE if you like Art or Seahorses or Both, it is worth the 2.26 minute view. It is an incredible work of art. All of the people that were interviewed were friends with my mother and her family and still are friends with my cousins, who all live in Palmetto

More than a handful
Heads UP! the avocados are ready to eat, Bob has had three that were delish and we have given about 20 away to people at the YMCA. I used to take a big bag and sit them on the table by the coffe pot. The coffee pot is gone, and we are not allowed to bring things in and leave them, due to the pandemic. I put 2 of these giant sized in a bag, and hand them out to people out side the door, or to people who have said they would like to have them. One guy took 3 and made a huge batch of guacamole.. the one above weighed 1 and 1/2 lbs.

Memories on Throwback Thursday
Bob brought a package in from the mail box this week, inside was this old photo, The frames says, Some moments we never forget, because our lives are changed forever!
A note from my cousin said, do you remember the old play house daddy built us? Of course I did. She and I were once trapped in there with a LIZARD in the door way, we screamed until someone came to move it....
Think way back to 1949! I am on the left, the tall one, my 1st Cousin Andrea, daughter to my dad's sister, is on the right.. We were 5 that summer, my brother was a year old. I had lived in a one room apartment with my parents, and we needed more room and Daddy was a meat cutter at a local grocery story. I am 4 months older than Andrea.
The 2 story house is Aunt Helens house, the little shed is a Play house Uncle Jimmy built for us to play in. Look just over my shoulder and that is the chicken coop that was remodeled into a 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1 closet, kitchen living room house for my family to live in.
Yes it was clean. a box with 4 rooms, and 7 doors. Daddy laid linoleum down on the floors, and on the counters and cabinets they built in the kitchen, The bedroom for my brother and I was 2 feet wider than 2 army cots that fit in the corners. The kind with the old blue striped ticking mattress.
We grew up best friends, more sisters than cousins. We moved to Kentucky when I was 10 but came back next door to Andrea when I was 15, but by that time it was a house Uncle Jimmy built for us, Daddy paid 5,000 dollars, 50 dollars a month for that house that was built in 1952. While we were in KY it was rented out to pay the payments. I lived there until I married in 1963 and Mama and Daddy moved out in 1987 when it was taken by eminent domain and torn down.

Village of the Arts re-visit Ugly Duckling
Some of you remember the Village of the Arts Ugly Duckling above, a year ago. We wondered why it was there, I went back and they had painted it Blue, but still not like the other houses, see them Here is the link to see what the other houses look like in the Artist Village. Most of them the artist lives and works and sells in these homes.

New Blogger.. hummm
When there are problems with Blogger, I go to the forums and I did this with the issue in creating a post that makes the line jump double space and not single space. Above is the email I received from forum. I am typing this and going all the way to the end and it does single space. But if you hit enter here
this is where it goes.... and if you try to do single space hit enter here
it goes here. ( the issues in new blogger is getting your post to single space where you want it to)
Guess what? I got an email that says if you hit Shift/Enter it will go
HERE. It does single space.
they do not intend to fix this at this time... Lots of people are fussing... Just climb on board and hit
Shift/enter to single space....
SHIFT KEY and ENTER KEY to single space
Now is your chance to air your griefs with blogger...😋 I am happy to say, they now have added Search in already published posts on dashboard.
UPDATE after reading Yamini comment,
after you click in the post to start typing, look to your left and see the word paragraph, click on that and change to normal and it will be WELL, NORMAL. so why did they not answer the question on the forum. who knows, we don't.

Avoid Housework at all cost
I will do anything to avoid housework.
While watching Ann of SnapEditScrap tutorial on how to make a fall craft, I saw the words, Had a hard time getting the cell phone to stand up.
I did NOT get up when done viewing and attack the house work.
I emailed Ann not one but 3 times including links to YouTube videos on HOW To DIY standing up your phone. ( just in case she did not know how to search for them)
I spent an hour watching YOUTUBE videos on DIY cellphone holders. I tried the easiest one first. (see above photo)
I even made a video using the phone in cup idea. DELETED IT QUICKLY my voice sounded funny and made another one.
moved on to Prop up the phone using my Laptop....should have deleted it also.
What is wrong with my voice??? To be continued.............

In The Bag, but why?
I have never played dominos or even seen it played, or held a domino in my hand. This past week, Bob came in the front door and tossed this bag on my laptop. It had the domino inside. Seems there is a new Resturant in town.
The name is Table Talk, the online address is HERE It is 3 minutes from our home. The walls are floor to ceiling book cases full of board games. I think it is a great idea, but right now, in a Pandemic, is not a time to eat and play games that other people have eaten and played with.....
Play, Eat, Talk just screams spread the virus to me.... I said to Bob, why is there a domino in the bag, what is if for? He said So they could ride by and throw it out their window in our driveway...
What think ye? any thoughts? My thougts, clever advertising, great idea to play and eat except for the germ factor, The menu looks wonderful and affordable. I hope I can remember it is there AFTER this pandemic is over. Will it ever be over?
