The Mess I made on Saturday

Can you guess what I did on Saturday morning? Above is your first clue.
Most of you know me and should know what I do.

I always do it on Black Friday, but this is 2020, most things are different that I might do.
I started to do this in way back in 1992,
and every year I whine to you
about What I did and have to do.

I ordered 6 foot wide 9 foot long Drape of Fairy Lights from Amazon
I struggled and fussed and carried ON..
I whined and whined like I had swallowed a bone.

My shoulders hurt, oh  what did I do?
My back is killing me, like you kicked me with your shoe.

I whined out loud, saying, I hate these  lights, and the work it takes,

Linda Chapman could do this becauseshe has all it takes.
She really knows how to decorate,
Her hubby will help her to,
My hubby would not help me, even though he said I do.

to be continued

  3. Who would have thought that lights would be hard? I would be lost, but Linda would have them perfect in five minutes flat.

  4. It gets harder every year. I keep putting it off but the village has a turning on the lights event on the first of Dec. so I must get to it soon.

  6. An early start on the nook. I always enjoy seeing pictures from it even if it is a real pain in the patootie for you to do. Those lights are going to look awesome when everything is back in there.

  17. People start Christmas so early in this country. I put my things up right before Christmas and take them down right after the first of the new year. That way, the Christmas spirit is brand new and I can enjoy it over the 12 days of Christmas. Since I'm alone here, I don't even wait for the 12 days to take them down.

Don't get me wrong, your decorations are gorgeous and I understand that that traditions differ from country to country. I hope you didn't hurt yourself putting them up.
