Crack Pot and The Stump

Its Nature Friday on some blogs and what is more nature than pretty flowers. They have doubled in size in just a few days.
I did not repair the pot, I like it cracked, and intend to have flowers growing out of the crack.
there are 3 rooting,, soon to be more.

Most of all I love this stump... Nature's beauty, left from the tree that was hit by lightning and cost us 1500.00 to have it taken down. He wanted another 500 to take out the stump. I LOVE IT! So left it.
NOTE! the house of five cars are all at home at 7 am

  1. It is a designer crack! Around here, people use their stumps to put flower pots, and other decorative itmes. Your flowers are beautiful!

  2. At least it is a crack pot and not a crack pipe. Having said that Where F lived in NZ old houses had tile drains and ceramic chimney pots that recycled into fairly acceptable planters.

Or are you simply referring to the Madness?

  4. The pot looks like it was meant to be cracked with the flowers growing in it. It looks great. That stump is the perfect spot for displaying the pots too.

  9. Not everyone can have a cracked pot for their floral display, Sandra. You may just be on the cutting edge of starting a new trend. Tree stumps are great and why pay to have it removed when it has a wonderful use for your crack-pot.

  11. Like the others have said, the cracked pot and stump look more like an art exhibit! Anyone can go buy a intact planter, but it wouldn't have near the character.

Because I strongly suspect you will (*grin*) ... I'm looking forward to seeing more of the same. Maybe near nightfall?

We may put some pots on the manic stump that broke Dave's leg...
Just to make something good out of misery,,
I love the crack pot too. Great idea to root some plants to "decorate" the crack. I think they are going to thrive there.
