Lamps AGAIN

The Lamp above is one I showed you last week, I removed the shade and tried to get a shot that would show you the glass chimney is blue glass and really thick. There are no markings on this lamp, but the blue base and chimney have bubbles in the glass, it is very thick.
I believe it to be from the 1800's
I have searched for the lamp and this link shows hand blown glass from the 1800's. it is much like some of these.
I love it so it doesn't matter to me.

The above is a lamp that has been wired for electric, it is almost identical to the one below. They are marked and though very much alike, are different brands.
The first lamp lives on my dresser, the electric one is on my bedside table and Bob gets the oil lamp on his bedside table.
Yes I did PLAY in PicMonkey with my lamps.

These lamps are flea market finds when Bob and I got married in 1985. The info here is the markings on the lamps. I have no history for them.

  4. I love these old fashioned looking lamps. Yours are interesting as they are old with bubbles in the glass. I have a few reproduction metal lamps hanging in our covered yard and I like the antique look. I have a precious one in the living room that belonged to my mother which runs on electric. It has a copper base, a milk glass bowl top and a clear glass funnel.

Knowing the history - and provenance - of anything adds more than mere dollar value to it. These are so pretty! YAM xx

  7. Hello,

Your antique lamps are pretty, did the markings helped with the history?
    Take care, enjoy your day!

  10. My favorite is still the last photo on the left. No matter their value, I agree with what's-her-name (Marie?) -- to surround ourselves with things that we love.

  11. I think it is always interesting to try and date and identify things we have. I gave my antique lamps to one of my daughters. Slowly dispensing items I have had for my lifetime. xo Diana

  12. Those are great lamps and what fun it used to be to go to flea markets and other places where you could find interesting things. Just to look at and then to buy one or two for your home. I really like the lamps.

  14. What a Wonderful lamp....post. I have one hurricane lamp. We have my mother in laws lip similar to Aladdin w/o the fluting. It has flowers on the shade. We keep meaning to get the electrical connections checked but haven't done it yet. I cant find any date or manufacturing info. I expect it is at leas early 1940's since it has elec. cord or either she had it wired

  15. The oil lamps are truly wonderful.
I love the blue one especially. I think you have some valuable lamps . I know that doesn't really matter to you though because you love them. That's the way I feel about some of our "treasures". They just make me feel good.
We have our first bible study get together in so many, many months.
We will meet out on our patio and have pizza delivered. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm glad that Dave can be in the wheelchair and be outside too. It's suppose to be 93F. by dinner time so I hope we can survive..
