The Tree, the Ornaments and OCD me. Again

The tree I love, is decorated but is too ugly to show you.
the beautiful silver ornaments on the other tree look
Way to BIG and to Shiny for this rustic tree.
The tiny ornaments cost more than the tree.
I loved the long shadow below.
I ordered mini pinecones and min metal ornaments, 3 cm in size, and more rustic.
Amazon promised them tomorrow.
I may have to send a helicopter to Hootin Annie to fly her hear to help decorate this 18 inch tree, that is 45 cm to some of you..
Happy First Day of DEC

  1. I love the shadow in the last pic! Burlap or plaid bows, and farmhouse decorations. Tiny birds and nests, pinecones and berries are all the way to go.

  2. Maybe mini red & green sleigh bells? I was also thinking go with the red pick-up theme like the painting you received from Linda. Set your tree beside the painting & add fairie lights? Cotton balls for snow on the ground, mini snowmen & village people (you can find all above at Walmart, I'm sure.) Kinda like a Christmas card theme!

You will get a lot of ideas I'm sure, from others.

  3. Hello,
The tree is cute and I love the shadow shot. Amazon has not been keeping their promises, each day they say sorry. Annie is a great decorator.
Take care, have a happy day!

  4. Well when Anni gets done decorating your tree send her to Pa to decorate mine. I have two trees standing but have yet to pull out any ornaments.
Hope your new ones arrive on time.

  7. Such a cute little tree...there are so many good things to be said about it. It is small and easy to.move, it doesn't take ip.much space, it is n oil t heavy to lift...it does not cost a lot compared to.a bigbtree...

  8. I'll come too...just to watch the magic of Anni! It sure is sweet though. I might know where there are some pinecones on the ground that would be cute!

  9. You've no idea how much I'm loving that last shadow shot!

Except I'm the last soul to ask about decorations. Aside from the rag angel atop our tree 'minimalist me' hasn't (and won't) hang any decorations on ours. (Probably because I'm lacking in the symmetry(?) department, lol.)

  10. What about popcorn and cranberry garland??
I am having so much fun decorating this year! NO big tree - a real change but it's time - instead I am doing several smaller ones with different themes....al using what things I have. I'm on the sewing room today, the gazebo tomorrow and the guest room this weekend and then I'm done!
    Merry Christmas! It's December!!!

  14. We think it needs some little red bows. We also wonder if Beau could step over it without even holding his tummy in.

  15. Nice shadows, which has me green with envy...why? Well that means you actually had sunshine to make a shadow. Here, it's been UGLY...what I call all day ugly with wet, gray blah. I'm counting down the days til spring.

  17. Amazing how our holiday traditions change with age and circumstances. I used to be totally involved a day or two after Thanksgiving with helping our littles decorate our tree. Now they are 12-years-old through 19. As the adults were sitting around the table visiting after a Thanksgiving meal(pizza) on Saturday, our 19-year-old grandson started decorating our tree. Except for lights Hubby had put on the day before, it was unadorned. Soon he had his younger siblings and cousins pitching in. I was extremely proud of him and thankful.

  20. We have a similar tree outside our apt entry. It's decorated with beans, bells and bows from the Dollar Tree Store. We also added lights that have a battery pack, also a dollar purchase.
