The tree removal required a man on the roof and a man in the bucket.
I stood safe in the back yard 75 feet away with the zoom.
It was like watching a dangerous high wire act at the circus.
I did not want to watch, and I wanted to.
I did get a tad nervous when Tyler and Ramon rode two in the bucket up, up and away

Like you said, the best T.V. show of the month!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I didn't have to go up in one of those, but I'm glad they have them and that the tree is safely down.
Man in the bucket... that sounds like a titel for a song (maybe for our dad?)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the tree safely taken down. During a recent storm in Mostar, two big trees were practically pulled out of their roots and fell in the yard between cars and houses. Fortunately there was no damage except for the trees themselves.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, :=)Interesting to watch, but I'm sure your heart would be in your mouth, like mine is, if you watched the men on the farm cutting the tall thick branches of the Oak trees just with a saw, and one man standing at the bottom of the tall wooden ladders used in the grape harvest He is there to steady the ladder, but would be of no use at all if the man with the electric saw fell. It is so dangerous, but they have been doing this for years without accidents.

ReplyDeleteQuite the street entertainment! And the difference it made to the appearance and visibility around your home is fantastic. YAM xx
They're acrobats & fearless.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThey do have a dangerous job, it is great you had such a wonderful crew of workers. Take care, enjoy your day!
That would have been fun to watch. I used to work with a guy who is now doing stuff like this. He said he had to do a test before he got the job making sure he was ok with the heights.
ReplyDeleteI love watching these guys work. I don't get nervous seeing them. Now if I got in there....I would die of nerves! hahaha!
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos to document the tree removal.
ReplyDeleteDid you change the effects on them? First photo almost look like a statute.
Hugs cecilia
This makes me want to start singing The Drifters' Up on the Roof. Wonder if they get that a lot?
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are so good; did they see them?
You just reminded me I must call some tree person too. The other evening, as I sat on my patio, I noticed what looked like two dead junipers in my field. Did I tell you this already? Blame old age if I did.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. Yes it can definitely be nerve wrecking to watch them up there.
ReplyDeleteI guess that's why they get paid the big bucks.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of a job well done.

Great entertainment albeit a bit scary.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Whenever I watch that kind of activity, all I can think is, better you than me. I would not be up there, for no amount of money.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen some tree dudes were in my yard, one shimmied up a wooden fence and balanced on 2x4s struts and then leaned into the tree, I got some great shots of his back side from the back door step. He was agile even with all this gear and chain saw.
ReplyDeleteYour photos have been very interesting. I expect you are glad the work is over and done with.
