Slushie News for Yous

Fodder Barrel is low and I thought I would share that I have added frozen blueberries to
my Safe List for IBS..
I played with my favorite cup in PicMonkey Because I love the cup and PicMonkey.

The trick to eating fruit is to eat it in the AM and not PM.
If you stay up to midnight PM at around 3 would be ok. It is not good to lie down after eating fruit.
I count the frozen blueberries, no more than 10. 2 chunks frozen watermelon, 2 frozen strawberries and cover with water.

  6. I've been on a blueberry smoothie myself. Frozen vanilla yogurt, ice, blueberries & fat free, lactose free milk.

  7. Smoothies are my favorite beverage to make and have never tried a slushie, yet. Thanks for all the info on the timing to eat fruit, something I didn’t know either. The smoothies are usually breakfast and blueberries and mangoes are my favorite ingredients with low-fat milk and yogurt.

  8. These photos are beautiful! I'm glad to hear you discovered the blueberries are tummy-friendly.

I don't eat fruit, but now I'm going to warn Tom about the timing. He's been on a watermelon kick all summer; more often than not, I discover a half-eaten bowl beside his recliner in the morning.

  9. That sounds so good. I eat a lot of fruit for breakfast. The cherries are in the stores now and they are so good! I eat blueberries, part of a peach and a few cherries every morning while they are in fresh in the stores. Yumo!

Its going to be so , so, hot today and going into the weekend that a slushie sounds divine. I didn't know about the timing of eating fruit either.

  11. I had no idea you could freeze watermelon. Why is it not good to lay down after fruit? Do the seeds in the strawberries - well would they be something you should be careful with for your bowels?

  13. Hello Sandra, That's a good tip about not eating fruit late at night. I do eat a lot of fruit, and only recently discovered that those flat looking peaches are delicious, much sweeter than the average peach. Your smoothie looks yummy.

Thank you for the ID, which I have attributed to you on my blog.:=)

  15. That looks delicious. I usually eat mine for breakfast. My doctor told me a few years back when I first started having problems, never to eat anything after 7.00 p.m. I generally stick to that rule unless we are going out with family or friends.

  17. I love your cup, that big handle is just great. I never thought to freeze my watermelon and then make a drink of it, but I must try. It sounds so good. Now that our hot summer is almost over, I'm a bit late, but I will do it. Thanks for sharing.
